Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the center of Ortahisar, start by heading southwest on the main street (Bağlıdere Cad.) towards the Ortahisar Castle. After approximately 10 minutes of walking, you will reach the castle area. From here, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding Cappadocia landscape. Continue walking for another 15 minutes towards the signs that lead to the Cappadocia Walking Trail (Kapadokya Yürüyüş Yolu) which will guide you towards Çavuşin.

    From Ortahisar, you can catch a local bus (Dolmuş) that goes to Avanos. Look for the bus stop near Ortahisar Castle, and buses typically run every 30 minutes. The fare is around 10 Turkish Lira (TL). Once you arrive in Avanos, you can transfer to another bus heading towards Çavuşin. The total journey will take about 30-40 minutes depending on the wait time.

  • Bicycle Rental

    For a more active option, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ortahisar. Follow the bike paths towards the Cappadocia Walking Trail, which leads you directly to Çavuşin.
