If you are starting from Sultanahmet Square, head south towards the Hagia Sophia. Once you reach the square in front of Hagia Sophia, continue walking towards the southwest corner of the square. You will see the entrance to Gulhane Park on your left. Walk through Gulhane Park, keeping to the main path. After exiting the park, continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Babı Hümayun Cd. Turn left onto Babı Hümayun Cd, and the Great Palace Ruins will be on your right at No:12.

If you are further away, such as from Taksim Square, take the funicular train down to Kabataş station. From Kabataş, board the tram (T1 line) heading towards Bağcılar. Get off at the Sultanahmet stop. Once you exit the tram, walk south towards the Hagia Sophia.
