Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the center of Jinja, head southeast on Main Street (also known as Jinja-Kamuli Road). Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Kimaka Road. Turn left onto Kimaka Road and continue for approximately 1 kilometer. Tubing the Nile will be on your left side, just past the entrance to the Nile River. Look for signage indicating the location.

  • Public Transportation (Boda Boda)

    To reach Tubing the Nile via Boda Boda, find a nearby Boda Boda stand in Jinja. Inform the rider you want to go to Tubing the Nile on Kimaka Road. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Expect to pay between 5,000 to 10,000 UGX for the trip. Make sure to confirm the fare before you start your journey.

  • Public Transportation (Matatu)

    You can take a matatu (shared minibus) from the Jinja main bus park. Look for one heading towards Kamuli or any matatu that goes along the Jinja-Kamuli route. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Kimaka Road. After about 15-20 minutes, you will reach the area. Once you get off, it’s a short walk (about 500 meters) to Tubing the Nile, which will be on your right as you walk along Kimaka Road.
