Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the town of Inveraray, head northeast on the A83 towards Tarbet. Continue on the A83 until you reach the junction with the A82. Turn right onto the A82 heading north. Follow the A82 for approximately 30 miles until you reach Bridge of Orchy. The Rannoch Moor Viewpoint is located just off the A82 in Bridge of Orchy. Look for the parking area on your left where you can stop to enjoy the stunning views. Parking is free.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Rannoch Moor Viewpoint using public transport, you can take a train from Glasgow to Bridge of Orchy. The train service is provided by ScotRail. Once you arrive at Bridge of Orchy station, exit the station and walk south along the A82 for about 0.5 miles (approximately 10 minutes). The viewpoint will be on your left side. Ensure to check the train timetable ahead of your visit, as services may vary.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route or are traveling with luggage, consider taking a taxi from either Fort William or Oban. The taxi ride from Fort William to Rannoch Moor Viewpoint is approximately 30 miles and may take around 40 minutes. From Oban, the distance is about 50 miles, taking roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes. Taxi fares can range from £50 to £80 depending on your starting point, so it's advisable to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
