Getting There

• Car

  From Blackpool, take the M55 motorway towards Preston. Continue on the M55 until it merges with the M6. Follow signs for Liverpool, and merge onto the M62. Continue on the M62 until you reach the A5047. Follow signs for Liverpool city centre. Once in the city, follow signs for the Royal Albert Dock. There is parking available at the dock, but be aware that there may be parking fees (typically around £1.50-£2.50 per hour).

• Train

  To travel by train from Blackpool to Liverpool, head to Blackpool North train station. Purchase a ticket to Liverpool Lime Street station, which typically costs around £10-£20 depending on the time of booking. Trains run regularly, approximately every 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Liverpool Lime Street, take the Merseyrail train towards Kirkby and get off at the James Street station. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Royal Albert Dock. Follow the signs for the waterfront.

• Bus

  Catch the National Express coach from Blackpool Central Coach Station to Liverpool. Tickets can be purchased online or at the station, with prices ranging from £10-£15 for a one-way trip. The bus journey takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Liverpool Coach Station, you can take a short walk or catch a local bus towards the Royal Albert Dock, which is approximately a 20-minute walk away.
