Car
If you're driving from Alloa, take the A907 towards Stirling. Continue on the A907 until you reach the A9. Merge onto the A9 and follow signs for Edinburgh. Once you are on the A9, stay on it until you reach the city center. Once in Edinburgh, follow the signs for the city center, and then take the A1 towards Leith, which will lead you onto the Royal Mile. Continue down the Royal Mile until you reach Canongate, where the Museum of Edinburgh is located at 142-146 Canongate. There is limited parking in the area, so be prepared to find a nearby car park.

To reach the Museum of Edinburgh using public transport, start by taking a bus from Clackmannanshire to Stirling. From Stirling, catch a train to Edinburgh Waverley Station. Once you arrive at Waverley, exit the station and head towards the Royal Mile. You can walk straight up the Royal Mile until you reach Canongate. The museum will be located on your left at 142-146 Canongate. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Waverley Station that goes to Canongate; just make sure to check local bus schedules for the best route.
