Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Merkinch Local Nature Reserve from central Inverness, head southwest on Academy Street/A82 towards Church Street. Continue to follow A82. Take the A9 exit towards Thurso/Inverness (N)/A82. Merge onto A9 and follow the signs for A82. After approximately 1.5 miles, take the exit towards A82/M8/A96. Continue on A82 for another 1.2 miles. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A9. After about 0.6 miles, take the exit toward A82. Follow A82 for about 1 mile, then turn left onto Craigton Avenue. The reserve will be on your left at 40 Craigton Ave, IV3 8AZ. Parking might be available nearby but check for any local parking regulations.
