Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting your journey from Manchester city center, head to the nearest tram station, St Peter's Square. From there, take the Metrolink tram towards Altrincham or Bury and get off at Deansgate-Castlefield station. Once you exit the station, walk towards the River Irwell and cross the river using the bridge. After crossing, turn left and follow the riverside path until you reach the next major road, which is Bridge Street. Continue walking along Bridge Street until you reach the junction with Deansgate. Turn right onto Deansgate and head north until you reach the junction with King Street. At this point, turn left onto King Street and continue straight until you reach the junction with Cross Street. Turn right onto Cross Street and continue until you reach the junction with St Ann's Square. Walk through St Ann's Square and exit on the opposite side towards the Royal Exchange Theatre. From there, continue onto Exchange Square and then head northeast towards the Cathedral. Parish Church of St John the Baptist is located nearby, just a short walk from the Cathedral.

• Public Transport

  From Manchester Piccadilly train station, exit the station and catch a bus from the bus stop outside the station. Look for buses heading towards Chester or any bus that stops at Chester. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Chester bus station, exit the station and walk towards Vicar's Lane. The Parish Church of St John the Baptist is located at Vicar's Lane, just a short walk from the bus station. Follow the signs to the church, which should be visible as you walk along Vicar's Lane.
