Getting There

• Car

  From anywhere in Sussex, head towards the A23 road, following signs for London. Continue on the A23 until you reach the junction with the A201. Merge onto the A201, following signs that lead you to central London. You will cross over the River Thames on the Blackfriars Bridge. Continue straight until you reach Trafalgar Square. There are several parking options around Trafalgar Square, but note that parking can be expensive, typically around £4-£8 per hour. Be sure to check local parking signs for restrictions.

• Train

  Take a train from any major station in Sussex (like Brighton, Eastbourne, or Hastings) to London Victoria or London Bridge. Both stations are well connected by the London Underground. From London Victoria, take the Victoria Line to Oxford Circus. Change to the Bakerloo Line towards Elephant & Castle and get off at Charing Cross. From there, it’s a short walk to Trafalgar Square. If you take the train to London Bridge, you can take the Northern Line to Charing Cross. Train fares vary, but expect to pay around £10-£30 for a return ticket, depending on your starting point and time of travel.

• Bus

  You can catch a National Express or Megabus service from various locations in Sussex to Victoria Coach Station in London. Once you arrive at Victoria Coach Station, you can take the Underground from Victoria Station to Charing Cross station (as described above). Bus fares can vary, generally ranging from £10-£20 depending on how far in advance you book your ticket.

• Underground

  If you are already in London or nearby, you can take the London Underground to Charing Cross station. From there, it’s just a 5-minute walk to Trafalgar Square. Use the Bakerloo or Northern Line to reach Charing Cross. The Underground fare varies based on zones; expect to pay around £2.40-£6 for a single trip.
