    If you are starting from York Minster, exit the Minster grounds and head southwest on Minster Yard towards Duncombe Place. Continue onto High Petergate and take a left onto Ousegate. Follow Ousegate until you reach the junction with Exhibition Square. Turn right onto Exhibition Square, and you will find the William Etty statue located at the southern end of the square.

    Starting from the York Railway Station, exit the station and head east on Station Road. At the first roundabout, take the first exit onto Leeman Road. Continue walking straight until you reach the next roundabout. Take the first exit onto Station Avenue, and follow this road until you reach the city walls. Turn right to follow the city walls, and when you reach the Exhibition Square, the William Etty statue will be on your left.

    From York Railway Station, you can take the number 1 bus towards Acomb or the number 6 bus towards Haxby. Get off at the 'Museum Gardens' stop. From there, walk back towards the museum entrance, cross over to Exhibition Square, and you will find the William Etty statue at the end of the square.
