Getting There

  • Walking

    From the entrance of the Apostolic Palace, head towards the main gate and exit onto Via della Conciliazione. Turn right and walk straight until you reach Piazza San Pietro (St. Peter's Square). At the square, keep walking straight until you reach the end of the square. From here, take the first left onto Via dei Corridori. Continue walking straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Via del Corso. Turn right onto Via del Corso and walk for approximately 1 kilometer. When you reach the traffic light, cross to the left side of the street and continue walking until you see signs for Piazza Augusto Imperatore. The Mausoleum of Augustus will be on your left at the Piazza.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the Apostolic Palace, exit onto Via della Conciliazione and turn right. Walk to the bus stop at Piazza San Pietro (towards the main entrance of St. Peter's Basilica). Take bus number 64 or 81 from this stop. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop called 'Piazza Augusto Imperatore.' The Mausoleum of Augustus will be directly in front of you as you exit the bus.
