  • Walking

    If you are currently in the Apostolic Palace area, head east towards Piazza San Pietro. As you exit the square, continue walking along Via della Conciliazione. After about 500 meters, you will reach the roundabout at Via di Porta Cavalleggeri. From there, take the first exit onto Viale Vaticano. Keep walking straight for around 1 kilometer, and you will reach the entrance of the Vatican Gardens on your left. Continue walking until you hit the main road, Via Appia Antica, where Parco Regionale dell'Appia Antica is located.

    From the Apostolic Palace, walk to the nearest metro station, Ottaviano (about 10 minutes on foot). Take the Metro Line A towards Anagnina for one stop to the Termini station. At Termini, transfer to Metro Line B towards Laurentina and get off at Piramide station. From Piramide, exit the station and look for the bus stop for line 118. Take the bus towards Appia Antica and get off at the stop 'Appia Antica/Villa dei Quintili.' You will be a short walk from the entrance of Parco Regionale dell'Appia Antica.
