Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Sistine Chapel, exit the chapel and head towards the Vatican Museums entrance. Once outside, turn left and walk down the Viale Vaticano. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Via di Porta Angelica. Cross the street and continue walking straight. You will see the entrance to the Piazza San Pietro. Continue past St. Peter's Basilica, keeping it on your right, until you reach the end of the square. From there, turn left onto Via della Conciliazione and continue walking straight until you reach the Tiber River. At the river, turn right and walk along the riverbank for approximately 15 minutes. Then, turn left onto Via Cavour and continue straight for another 10 minutes until you reach Piazza del Viminale. The Ministry of the Interior will be on your left at Piazza del Viminale, 1.

    From the Sistine Chapel, exit and walk to the nearest bus stop located at Via della Conciliazione. Board the bus number 40 or 64, which heads towards Termini Station. After about 15 minutes, get off at the Termini Station stop. From Termini, transfer to bus number 70 and continue for about 10 minutes. Disembark at the stop named 'Viminale.' Walk approximately 5 minutes to reach Piazza del Viminale, where the Ministry of the Interior is located at number 1.
