Getting There

  • Walking

    Exit St. Peter's Basilica and head towards the main square (Piazza San Pietro). From the square, walk towards the left side of the basilica, following the pathway that leads out of the square. You will see a large street called Via della Conciliazione. Walk down this street for about 700 meters until you reach the Tiber River. Once you reach the river, turn left and walk along the riverbank for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the Ponte Flaminio bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Viale di Villa Giulia. The National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia will be on your right at Piazzale di Villa Giulia 9.

    From St. Peter's Basilica, exit and walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Via della Conciliazione. Take bus number 280 towards 'Piazzale Flaminio' and get off at the 'Piazzale Flaminio' stop. From there, you will see the entrance to the Villa Giulia park. Walk through the park towards the National Etruscan Museum, which is located at Piazzale di Villa Giulia 9.
