Getting There

    From Assateague Island National Seashore, head west on MD-611. Continue on MD-611 for approximately 8 miles until you reach the intersection with MD-90. Turn left onto MD-90 and follow it for about 3 miles until you reach the traffic circle. Take the first exit onto Coastal Highway (US-528) heading south. After about 5 miles, keep an eye out for signs for Ocean City. As you enter Ocean City, continue on Coastal Highway until you reach 109 N Boardwalk. The sand sculptures are located on the boardwalk, which is easily accessible by parking in one of the nearby public parking lots (fees may apply).

    If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take the Shore Transit bus service from Assateague Island to Ocean City. Check the Shore Transit schedule for the latest routes and times. Get off at the stop closest to the boardwalk, which is typically located on Coastal Highway.
