Getting There

Bus
First, locate the nearest bus stop. Board the Sound Transit bus route 586 heading to Tacoma. Ride the bus for about 30 to 40 minutes until you reach the Tacoma Dome Station. After exiting the bus, find the Tacoma Link Light Rail station nearby and board the light rail towards Thea Foss Waterway. The journey is only about 5 minutes. Disembark at Thea Foss Waterway station. Walk west on Dock Street for approximately 5 minutes, and you will arrive at the Foss Waterway Seaport.

Walk to the Federal Way Transit Center and board the Sounder Train toward Seattle. After a ride of about 20-30 minutes, get off at Tacoma Dome Station. From Tacoma Dome, you can either hop on the Tacoma Link Light Rail or walk. If you decide to walk, exit the station, head along E 25th St, turn left on Pacific Ave S, and proceed until you reach Dock St. Turn left on Dock St, and the Foss Waterway Seaport will be on your right.

Begin your journey at the Tacoma Art Museum, heading south on Pacific Ave. When you reach S 17th St, turn left and continue until you hit Dock St. A right turn at Dock St will lead you directly to the Foss Waterway Seaport, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the museum.
