I really, really enjoyed the Soviet walking tour of Vilnius. The guide was knowledgeable and a great storyteller, and the group (who had never met each other before doing this tour) got on so well. Most of the other guests on the tour were super interested in the topics being discussed and we enjoyed some great discussions and learned a lot. A highlight of my time in Vilnius.

We learned a lot from a very knowledgable guide and we felt we understood what it was like living under occupation. Despite the cold and wet weather we felt the time passed quickly as the guide was engaging and shared with is many insights, some light hearted and some serious.

If you're interested in learning more about the history of Vilnius and how it was for the people of Vilnius to live under Soviet occupation for 50 years, in a very authentic way. Then this is a great tour for you to go on. The tour guide was incredibly great and informative. She shared many personal stories from experiences of family members. She was also very knowledgeable and knows her stuff very well.

Eva was a friendly and insightful guide, and even though no one else was scheduled for the tour that afternoon, she was gracious enough to take me out on my own. She had interesting tidbits of historical info, and often shared relevant period photos on her tablet to provide a better sense of what things would have looked like during Soviet times. Eva offered personal anecdotes of how her own family was impacted, and how all Lithuanians have similar stories. She was also flexible in offering feedback for my many questions (some unrelated to the subject matter, like why there are so many Toyota Prius cars in Vilnius). The tour definitely met my expectations, and I look forward to a return visit to Lithuania one day, hopefully in the summertime!

A really informative, interesting and entertaining tour. Covered not just the history but also how Lithuania is dealing with its Soviet heritage currently. Guide was excellent and I couldn't recommend this tour more highly if you are in Vilnius.
