The tour set off at 5pm which seemed a little late but it was excellent. The guide was, local, knowledgeable, had a nice style and put together a good balance of knowledge and entertainment. Some of the places we visited we have passed by before but not realized their significance. At 90 minutes long and with a around 17 people on the tour this was an excellent way to finish up the day before setting off to dinner.

Mario is a former history teacher and is an outstanding tour guide. This was a great way to get an overall orientation for Valetta and learn a lot about the history of the key sites, buildings and people and of Malta.

This was my second trip to Malta. I decided to hire a private guide to learn more about the island's history and culture. My guide, Ian, was very knowledgeable making whole experience a fantastic adventure. He recommended places to visit, restaurants to eat in, tours to consider and delicacies to try. I changed my travel plans, following Ian's advice and it turned out to be a very good decision. I wish I had been able to follow more of his suggestions, unfortunately my trip was too short to accommodate all of them. If you are looking for a personalized La Valletta experience and you want to do it at your own pace hiring a private tour guide is the way to go. Just to close out this review on personal note and put it in writing for all the almond-loving people:November Bone is delicious!

Matthew, our Maltese guide was absolutely perfect; he accompanied my wife and I around Valletta to give us an intimate and in-depth tour of the city and its history. I do not think the same is possible without Matthew or an excellent guide.

Our tour guide was Carmel, and Carmel was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We learned about the history of Malta, from its founding and the Knights of Malta, to its modern day democratic, political situation. Carmel had anecdotes on historical figures, fascinating stories on the buildings within Valetta old town and much more. The 3h walking tour flew by and I can’t recommend the tour enough.

Malta is a place I would have never thought to visit on my own, but my cruise port docked there and I booked this private walking tour for myself and my family. Matteo was our guide, and he was absolutely AMAZING! The most knowledgeable tour guide I have ever encountered, and also so genuine and kind. Would highly recommend!!
