After 12 hours of travelling, our booking had a request for a 'high floor, quiet', so that we could recover from any jetlag. Upon arrival, they had us on the First floor. Then mentioned that the nightclub next door will have some noise between 10pm and 2am, but they could offer 'ear plugs'. The room they gave us was also directly opposite the Guest Laundry. So the noise from the laundry, then the thumping of the bass and noise from the nightclub went on until 3:30am!! Even with earplugs, the bass reverberated throughout the entire bed. Terrible. We tried looking for another hotel, but prices at last minute were insane, and we also wouldn't get a refund of our $286 USD fee for the one-night. The location on Granville street is also knee-deep in homeless people. The only good thing was that they let us securely store our luggage the next day until our late flight out of Vancouver.

Pension next to a nightclub. You can't close your eyes until 3:30 in the morning. The Pension's only action in the morning: to offer you "breakfast" (horrible according to customer reviews, go instead to the cafe which is 15m on the street). Ah yes: our travel agency contacted them to see if a partial refund was possible: they maintain that we provide no proof that there was noise!!! The fact that there is actually a quasi-nightclub in the Pension could be? The many customer reviews that report the same problem?

It is located in the extreme part of downtown, the sidewalks around are frequented only by homeless, often drunk and drugged. Unfortunately, it is a social scourge that in many Canadian and American cities is much more widespread than in other countries. The chain of this hotel (Quality Inn ans Suites) is good and I have personally experienced it in other locations (USA) but this property does not meet the standards usually encountered. Cleanliness is at the limit of sufficiency, it becomes insufficient in the location where you have breakfast (greasy tables, dirty floors and it is better that I do not add anything else). Reservation included breakfast on which it is best to draw a veil. The only things available are eggs, bacon, sausages and pancakes. I forgot.... there is also the stale pancarré to heat in a single toaster for all customers. Clearly if you want a yogourt, some fruit or a coffee, you have to pay extra, the alternative is to take the drinks from the machine at the reception and consume them inside (all regular, authorized by them), which of course everyone did, so I don't understand the point. In general, therefore, the judgment on this structure is not positive (reluctantly, I repeat, because the chain itself 'is good).
