Multiple attractions closed and not mentioned on site. Wave pool, two sets of water slides and the cast away section for young kids was unclear on open date. Major disappointment with very little to do for a young child not quite big enough to do big slides. Made the best of it but for $220 with parking, seemed like they could advertise what’s closed.

I purchased the 2 park pass with the hotel accommodations for me and my family. I regret not looking at the reviews before we bought them, but it included Busch Gardens which we were going to go to anyways so I figured it was fine. Boy was I wrong. Showed up and 2/3 of the park was shut down. Maybe I would give them a higher rating if I actually got to ride some of the slides, but it was just so disappointing that we decided to just leave and go to Busch Gardens. Complete waste of time and money. Fortunately parking was included so we didn't get scammed out of $32 like a lot of other people have been reporting.

We spent a good $10,000 to hit Sea world, Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, and Discovery Cove. Arrived at Adventure Island to be told they are “open” but under staffed so only 5 of 12 attractions are open. 2 being a lazy river and a pool. Only 3 slides open. I stood in line for guest services where the management was clearly moving slow to keep the line long and lose less money giving refunds. They are not being helpful at all. The park was only open 10 am to 5 pm and I spent most of that time in line. Don’t waste your time coming here. This park has no towels for out of town visitors as well. Just pass and do something else.

Honestly the biggest scam in this area outside of extended car warranties! After paying $32 plus tax for parking and 5 tickets (2 adults and 3 kids) we found that only 2 of the water rides were open, the wave pool and all rides that are the reason you come to this place we're taped off with 'attraction closed' signs. Needless to say the 2 open rides and lazy river are absolutely ram packed, we are currently waiting in line with an enormous amount of angry people all in the same position as us. It's spring break and I don't think it acceptable at all to have such a poorly run park at this time of the year. If there was a button to give this place negative stars it would be hit, a 2 hour round trip with restless kids, exorbitant parking and entrance prices coupled with all the ride closures makes this place an "avoid altogether" day out.

We attempted to go to Adventure Island on 3/14/2024. When we arrived to the parking kiosk, the worker told us that only 10% of the park is open! I'm not sure when this will change, but beware! We left and went to Busch Gardens instead (we had 2 day tickets to either). But we bought swim shirts and shoes, all geared up for the water park :(

What a “SCAM” today! Admission was $50 each, $34 to park, $25 for a locker ! Once inside we are told only a few slides are open ! Actually was just “ 1 “ to start, through the day 2 more opened and 1 pool half opened! They said they have NO staff ( lifeguards ) to open anything else up. And of course they don’t put up any notifications on their Website telling you this ! They should be ashamed for charging everyone full prices for a water park you can hardly use and of course what was open had stupid long lines ! So my conclusion, anyone down here boycott anything associated with SeaWorld! Never ever going to get another red cent from me.

March 14, 20204. Do not go. Today short staffed. One ride open, not even water in wave pool. Line up at customer service too long. Called company. Rep said all rides open. Asked to speak to supervisor, as we are there and one ride only open. Rep hung up on me. DO NOT GO!!!

Adventure island would not accept our tickets that I purchased through trip advisor, so we could not redeem them. I wasted $243+ on tickets for nothing. And we drove all the way to Tampa, so we could go there. Very bad experience!!

This isn't Disneyland. But Adventure Island is Tampa Bay's largest water park and seems to fulfill the needs and afford the necessary thrills that children of all ages come to enjoy. Located at 1001 McKinley Drive, northeast of Tampa, across the street from Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, the park covers 30 acres that feature three children's areas, 10 water rides, five pools, seven dining options, cabanas and loungers and other entertaining attractions such as Shaka-Laka Shores, the all-new splash and play zone with interactive elements. Open from 10 to 5 Monday through Friday and 10 to 6 on Saturday and Sunday, Are you brave enough to take on Vanish Point? Navigate through 425 feet of spiraling tubes before you reach the splash run finale, a 70-foot drop on Adventure Land's drop slide. The Water Moccasin is a triple-tube thriller that snakes through a unpredictable spiraling slide. And the Rapids Racer is the world's first dueling saucer water slide where riders grab a two-person raft before racing through nearly 600 feet of slide, an experience unlike bobsledding in the Winter Olympics. Another wild experience is the Wahoo Remix with dark enclosed tunnels lit with multi-color LED lights and augmented with sound. Between rides, take a refreshing break at Surfside Ice Cream or Bayou Beach Club or Mango Joe's or Surfside Cafe. Adventure Island has been entertaining youngsters since 1980.
