If you’re into butterflies, this is a place not to be missed! They have the largest catalogue of butterflies in the country. The butterfly garden is amazing and the museum, which is free to all, is very nice too. There is also an area devoted to youngsters

Best part of the trip. Relatively small space, but absolutely beautiful. One surprise was all the small birds in addition to the butterflies.

As a family celebrating our son's 21st bday and his starting at UF this yr it was a great experience. While reading about the butterflies two butterflies landed on my son at two different time, unfortunately I missed taking a photo. I would definitely recommend this place, not only for the Butterfly forest, but to also learn about all the artifacts and fossils.

The rainforest was a beautiful design of art and nature. Lots of photo opportunities and education. Very serene and a great place to escape the day to day. (The gift shop didn’t disappoint either! ) Building offers other rooms to explore free of charge. Restrooms clean. Having said. Zero stars for trip advisor. My tickets were sent to an incorrect email and I was not refunded- so I had to pay twice. Get your tickets directly there. No price difference and they offered additional packages to see the spider exhibit.

I am an avid butterfly enthusiast and this place blew my mind. Best butterfly exhibit I have ever seen by far. The hidden rare plants throughout were a great touch. Was also impressed with the Caryota Gigas (King Kong Palm.) 6 stars.

Adults and grandchildren all enjoyed. Unfortunately, too hot of a day to spend as long as we would have like with the butterflies. Spent a cooler time in museum. Very interesting.

Everything was great and very friendly people. I enjoyed every minute. I definitely would go again. Only thing is there is no place to snack.

This is a nice natural history museum, but we would not have gone if it didn't have the butterfly rainforest. The display is well done for a small town like Gainsville.
