Enjoyed the tour. Everyone was very friendly. You do want to be there on a day they are running the production line.
We very much enjoyed our tour. We went on a Saturday, knowing the line wouldn't be running, but felt like we got a good representation of the production process from the videos and guides descriptions. When so many chocolate companies have quit giving tours, this was a nice throwback. The history was well presented, as was the art. We also used this as a break from Bourbon Trail tours, and Rebecca Ruth provided nice change of pace.
Very interesting tour of a wonderful candy making company. Keeping to their roots and producing amazing bourbon balls. Well worth the side trip to see.
Our tour of the Rebecca Ruth Candy facility was so fun. We loved learning about the history. The Bourbon balls were amazing!!
A must on the Bourbon Trail. Rebecca Ruth's was a sweet stop along the Bourbon Trail. Find out how Bourbon Balls were started & see how candy is made the old fashion way. Great information about the family, the factory along with a treat at the end.
Rebecca Ruth Chocolate Tour and Museum was a fabulous stop for our group while exploring the bourbon trail. We were so impressed with the story of the fortitude and perseverance of Ruth Booe in a time where women in business were typically discouraged. She went on to create something that is now into the 4th generation of chocolate making (and were some of the best chocolates we have ever tasted). Also, she invented the original bourbon ball which they still make in their small factory and supply to the local distilleries. The staff was friendly and many have worked there for many generations. I would highly recommend making a visit.
