This is the tour if you’re looking for a casual but memorable day tour across the border. My tour guide Tadeo was fabulous and made a point to cater the tour to my desires. The food stops were amazing. Each location had its own unique atmosphere, and each taco had its own flavor. Tadeo was very knowledgeable about Tijuana, the traditions, the food and any other questions I threw at him. Everyone else on the team was very helpful. Diego assisted me across the border and made that process relaxed. Overall I’m very happy I booked this tour.

Great tour! All the food was fire, the tequila tasting was great and out guide Carlos was amazing! Professional, friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Would recommend the Mexican Street Food tour to anyone visiting the San Diego area.

Tadeo Calles is an awesome tour guide! Ready to customize to our party's needs & desires regarding food preferences & stops. Tadeo added a great coffee stop to satisfy our caffeine need. Tadeo was unbelievably knowledgeable about local history including a tremendous history of the powerful mural art he toured us through. Very conscientious to provide bathroom breaks & generally just a pleasure to spend the day with. He picked up on our interests & provided lots of great info relevant for us. Although we could not find the meet up point in San Diego due to Google maps not bringing us to address that was in the instructions & the instructions were rather general about location (would have been really helpful to specify to meet in front of McDonalds next to trolley), the US side coordinator answered our call right away & connected us to Tadeo via WhatsAp on the Mexican side. Tadeo talked us through the border crossing to meet up with him. Really memorable day with incredible food (& we are rather particular foodies). Highly recommend. Tadeo offered to send the photos he took & we still hope to receive them.

Our guide Victor was amazing. The process of crossing the border and returning was pretty quick. The food was really good and the tequila tasting was very interesting and fun. Victor is very knowledgeable on the history of Tijuana. I enjoyed the tour because it was a small group of us which made it a semi personalized experience.

Marisol was a great tour guide! The rest of the group canceled last minute, so it was just me 1 on 1. I had never done a border crossing like this, but it was super easy and she was waiting right their on the other side. On the way back, she dropped me off in line, gave me tips how to be ready when I reached the front, and avoid scammers. The food was fantastic! The blue corn quesadilla was better than anything I've ever had in America, and I really enjoyed the Mexican coffee (and I don't usually like coffee!). This was my first time having birra, I wanted to make sure my first was authentic...and the stand didn't disappoint! Marisol also brought me to sweet locations too, where we tasted local hand made candies and cheeses...as well as a aqua fresca shop. The last food stop was in the fish market section, where they had amazing Baja fish tacos. The craft brewery stop and tequila tasting really rounded out the tour nicely to balance sweet, savory, and spicy. Marisol was an awesome guide, answering all my questions about Tijuana, Mexican culture, food, and some soccer too! I don't know that I would have traveled to Tijuana on my own, it was nice to have someone to coordinate travel from the board into the city, recommend places, and guide you past tourist traps to the better spots. Highly recommend booking this tour!

We had a great day with Herberto. He had so much knowledge about the city, historical information, Mexican culture and of course the delicious food. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to spend a fun day across the boarder. First- timers as well as people who have visited Mexico will learn something new. We were given the opportunity to try many different types of food, drink and a little shopping. The trip back iover the boarder took a few hours but overall it was worth it.

Victor was great provided us a great overview of the Tijuana food scene and history. We went to 3 places we would have never found ourselves. His brief history overviews of Tijuana were also much appreciated. Highly recommend the tour.

This tour was very fun and the food was delicious. I’m still dreaming of the tacos. In between stops at his favorite spots he sprinkled the tour with information about the city. Our tour guide Tadeo made us feel like friends visiting from out of town. Tequila lovers may be a little underwhelmed by the tasting, which featured multiple flavored tequilas (peach, strawberry, almond) with no information about tequila production or how to judge a good tequila.
