Learning the history and viewing the grounds. Thank you for a nice experience. Our group really enjoyed it.

It was great to learn about the history of our ancestors and what really happened out there not so long ago. Cynthia was out tour lady, she was great, knowledgable and friendly. The only down was the bus trip to the plantation, we waited over 30 minutes outside in cold weather until pick up. It was a bumpy bus ride, it felt like the bus needed new shocks really bad.

Thought I was booking just a tour of Oak Alley but we had to drop off and pick up people at Laura Plantation which cut into our time at Oak Alley. We didn't have nearly enough time to experience the whole property! Tour of the main house was very interesting but felt rushed. Oak Alley is a stunning property but I don't think this tour was the best way to experience it.

Oak Alley is a beautiful plantation. It is easy to tour the grounds. They have everything marked clearly. The 'big house' is beautiful. They give you about a half hour tour of the house. You can't take pictures in the house due to the time constraints of this part of the tour. The ride to and from is about an hour each way. The driver does not narrate any thing. It is basically a quiet ride to and from.

it is the excursion!! however there is miscommunication between the driver and whoever is facilitating the pickup of the people..even accusing me of freaking lying..omg, he is probably doing it for a long time, however, he kept on trying to state that i was the one who was at fault..anyway...he was lucky i dont want to engage in a stupid "your fault, my fault!" I guess the company will have to make sure they knew where to pickup the passengers as stated or written on the website!! haayyy, love the place.. just not that driver..much worse than an interrogation of a 1026 patient

Interesting tour of a Creole plantation. Cameron (guide at plantation) gave us lots of details about the family history. Note that the ride out was just that - transportation, with no narration. Pickups were pretty random, and seemed to take quite a bit of time. Driver left us off at the French Market (as requested), which saved us walking there from our hotel.

I really don't know what I was expecting when I booked this tour but I wasn't 100% ready for what I felt. The house and grounds are wonderful. You can't take pics in the house, but it's still beautiful inside. What I wasn't prepared for was the slave exhibit(houses). Going thru them I had a heavy feeling and wanted to get out of there. Not because of ghosts or anything it just hit me all at once. The tour company was great and hopefully you get michael as a driver. Worth the ride and $

Oak Alley is not only a visual delight but also a place to reflect on the history and culture of the region. It's a testament to the dedication of its preservationists. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply looking for a peaceful escape from the bustling city, Oak Alley is an experience that's well worth the visit.

Great guide and seeing/ experiencing the history of the site. Will recommend to friends. Highlight of our NOLA trip.

I would give the Oak Alley Plantation tour 5 stars for its knowledgeable tour guides and overall experience. The shuttle service is what took my review down a few stars. We had a bad, unsafe driver that was all over the road, and tried texting while driving, which made it all worse.
