Yellowstone National Park

The Classic Yellowstone Tour features Yellowstone’s most popular stops and highlights including Old Faithful, The Grand Prismatic Hot Spring (by request only), rare wildlife in the Hayden Valley, Yellowstone Falls, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Yellowstone Lake, as well as several other off the beaten path waterfalls, hot springs, geysers, rivers, and wildlife encounters along the way. You will also have time to rest and take in the historic Old Faithful Inn built in 1903.

Hayden Valley

One of the best wildlife viewing places in Yellowstone National Park. Therefore, one of the best places to see wildlife in the world! We will head to this area of the park first to maximize our odds at seeing black bears, wolves, bison, and grizzlies!!

Lower Yellowstone River Falls

At 308" tall these falls are 308 feet (94 m) high, or nearly twice as high as Niagara Falls. The volume of water flowing over Lower Yellowstone Falls can vary from 680 cu ft/s (19 m3/s) in the autumn, to 8,400 cu ft/s (240 m3/s) at peak runoff in late springtime.

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is the most breathtaking sight inside Yellowstone National Park. Twenty miles long, the canyon is up to 4,000-feet wide and 1,200-feet deep in places. It's located on the eastern side of the park. From several vantage points, you can view Lower Falls plunging steeply into the canyon 308 feet, or the Upper Falls tumbling 109 feet.

Yellowstone Lake

Depending on the day we might: hike, walk, view historic architecture, or possibly have a very scenic lunch right along Yellowstone Lake (largest lake in North America above 7000'' of elevation/ 126 miles of shoreline) at one of our secret secluded lunch spots!

Yellowstone Geysers - Mud Volcano Area

Hike/ easy walking to view these incredible geothermal features that only exist inside Yellowstone!

Old Faithful

Hike/ easy walking to view these incredible geothermal features that only exist inside Yellowstone!

Upper Geyser Basin

We will access an area of the largest geyser basin in the park from an obscure entry point that few people know exist. In this area we will hike to multiple hot springs, geysers, and fumaroles that will get us into a place that's hidden in plain sight and few other tourist ever seem to find. This trail os often our clients favorite part of their tour. Over the years we have received tremendous feedback on this family friendly hike.

Morning Glory Pool

Hike/ easy walking to view these incredible geothermal features that only exist inside Yellowstone!

Grand Prismatic Spring

What Makes the Grand Prismatic so Grand? Grand Prismatic Spring, located in Midway Geyser Basin, has the distinction of being the park’s largest hot spring and third largest inn the world. It measures approximately 370 feet (112.8 m) in diameter and is over 121 feet (37 m) deep. A description of this spring by fur trapper Osborne Russell in 1839 also makes it the earliest described thermal feature in Yellowstone that is definitely identifiable

Fountain Paint Pot

Along this short walk you will see very good examples of most types of thermal features found in Yellowstone. These features include some extremely colorful hot springs,, steaming fumaroles, erupting geysers and the best mudpots in the park. The area is highly active and at least one geyser is erupting here at all times.

Firehole Lake Drive

Beautiful geysers and hot springs as well as the possibility of grazing bison!

Firehole Canyon Drive

Beautiful 40 foot waterfall at confluence of ancient rhyolite lava flows.

What a memorable day! Andrea took out our family of 5 for the day - he was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and a pleasure to be with. He knew the best places to go for beautiful views and to see all of the wild animals - bears, wolves, moose, bison, bald eagle and golden eagle, fox, pronghorn, coyote, woodchuck. His equipment was invaluable to the experience. I’d highly recommend!

We had an awesome day at Yellowstone National Park with our tour guide Andrea. He really knew exactly when and where we needed to be to see wolves, bears, bison, and more. Andrea took us to the best spots where we got to see a numerous animals, the absolute best was a wolf pack, we even could hear them howling to one another as well as a grizzly bear chowing down on a bison. Nature is so incredible, it was just amazing.

What a great experience for our family of four! Noah was a wealth of information and good naturedly answered all our questions. Through the provided scope and binoculars we were privileged to watch the Eight Mile Pack get a group of elk on the run! In addition to the wolf pack, we saw bison, proghorn, mule deer, bighorn sheep, coyote, moose, trumpeter swan, and a pygmy owl. We would have seen less than half of these without our wildlife biologist guide. All around a delightful day!

Nathan our guide was hands down the best! He was very attentive and knowledgeable about the park. He made my young family feel comfortable and was very patient with our two girls. Our favorite part was our hike through the snowy trails and seeing the wolves prints along the way.

Without a doubt, Yellowstone Adventure Tours completely exceeded expectations. First time to Yellowstone/Bozeman. Knew we wanted to go to the park, but had tons of questions and concerns doing it ourselves. Andrea was our guide and I honestly don't think there could have been anyone better. Extremely knowledgeable about the park and it's wildlife, Andrea was able to take us to key spots to see everything on our list (Wolf, elk, bison, red fox, coyote, moose, big horn sheep, and even a couple of pine martins - we saw them all!). The day was amazing, one we will never forget. It snowed the whole day we were in the park and that only made it better. If you are wondering if its worth booking a guide, its 100% worth booking with Andrea and Yellowstone Adventure Tours. He's very welcoming and accommodating. His passion for nature and knowledge is strong. We've already decided to come back during the summer/fall and the only call we'll make is to Yellowstone Adventure Tours. Thank you Andrea! Such an amazing experience.

We had an amazing private tour of Yellowstone with one of the company’s owners, Andrea. He clearly loves what he does and has dedicated his life to purusing his curiosity about nature. We were the beneficiaries. My family of five, three kids under 13, told Andrea as we started out before the sunrise in Bozeman, what we hoped to see in Yellowstone. Wolves, Bison, Moose, Mountain Goats, Elk, Mountain Lion, Eagle, Fox…before lunch we’d seen most of these, with the Moose being elusive and testing Andrea’s tracking chops. But he spotted it, bedded down in the snow. What appeared like a rock to anyone else, at 25 mph and 100 meters from the road, was exactly what we’d been searching for. Andrea also did a great job using his network of trackers to help us see Wolves and a Mountain Lion. We noticed that he was well respected among his peers, none of whom hesitated to point us in the right direction. Lastly was our off-road experience. Andrea took us to a beautiful canyon, a couple of kilometers walk from the road. He identified various tracks and scat as we made first tracks into the canyon and an enormous natural cave hidden inside of it. The whole scene was magical, a blue-bird sky with the snow reflecting the light back. At the end of our week in Montana, including 5 days of skiing at Big Sky, when we asked our kids (ages 7 to 13) what their favorite part was? Unanimous opinion, our wildlife safari with Andrea.

We recently chose Yellowstone Adventure Tours to guide us through a photography tour of the national park. Andrea was our guide for the day and we couldn't have been happier. He was prompt, courteous, extremely knowledgeable, very accomodating, personable, pleasant, friendly and knows his information about the history of the park and the animals there. Andrea inquired about our primary sightings for the tour and ensured that he did everything he could to make them happen. He is well connected with other guides/biologists in the area and appeared to have a great working relationship with them. We were able to see almost all of the animals we were wanting to see (animals will be animals and not always out) and a few more we weren't expecting. Here is one of our pictures of the Pine Martens we were able to see. We are told are rare and were sort of difficult to get a good picture of since they are so nimble and unpredictable. Thanks Andrea for a very memorable tour!

Amazing amazing tour! We got very lucky and within the first few minutes of entering the park we got to see the largest wolf pack in the park. It was spectacular. We spent the rest of the day looking for moose and carcasses but were not as lucky. Andrea, our tour guide, was right on time and a great guide. Super friendly and professional. He was clearly very knowledgeable about animals and especially the animals of Yellowstone. You can tell he is very passionate and dedicated to animal watching so he knew exactly where to look. He tried his best to help us find more animals to look at by finding tracks and knowing their patterns. When we did find the wolves he was very quick to drive to the right locations and set up scopes for us to see. Highly recommend this tour! Takes a bit of luck but that’s nature for you.

WORTH EVERY PENNY! My homies & I do an annual boys snowboarding trip to a new destination. This year big sky was on the trip & I knew Yellowstone wasn’t too far away. I’m a hobbyist photographer and by the grace of the instagram algorithm received this amazing video of a bison in YNP that was posted by Yellowstone Adventure Tours. I sent the videos to the boys & some were stoked while others thought it was lame I was trying to take away from the slopes. We were all more than surprised at the knowledge Andrea brought to the park and the epic hot spots he took us to. We saw just about every winter animal within minutes of entering the park. Wolves, deer, elk, coyotes, big horn sheep, some other gazelle looking thing (can’t remember the name) mountain lion foot prints, absolutely insane. The most epic part of our journey though was witnessing a pack of wolves chow down on an elk. We witnessed on the wolves carrying the elks head up onto a hill. EPIC is an understatement. Oh yea also you’re in YNP one of the most beautiful parks on the planet. Needless to say, this tour is a. NO BRAINER & I strongly recommend the good folks over there. Andrea, thank you again for such an incredible experience. I will be back for bear season!

Our first time to Yellowstone National Park, with our toddler in tow!!! Montana and Wyoming were incredible. Absolutely beautiful sites and the wildlife was straight out of National Geographic! Our your guide, Andrea, truly made our trip such a memorable experience. He honestly had an answer to all of our questions and his vast knowledge in Biology was admirable. His love and passion for nature and wildlife was infectious! Anyone can drive through a national park, but having a knowledgeable guide will truly make a difference. He spotted out a pack of wolves (had we gone solo, we definitely wouldn’t have seen them ourselves) He also pointed out the first otter of their season, we got a good glance at it! It was awesome seeing the community of photographers and wildlife enthusiasts co-mingle and check in with each other about animal sighting up the road, etc. (also via Walkie talkie) He shared how he left his hometown of Luxembourg to study in Montana, as it’s ranked the best school for his field. So immediately, that dedication was inspiring. He brought along a wide array of gadgets, like scopes, binoculars and more. He shared some high end quality photos at the end, which I cannot wait to print them. He was very easy going and easy to strike up conversation with, which is needed for how many hours we spent to together. One of my personal favorite parts was that, it was nice for my husband and I to be able to enjoy time away from the wheel and have someone else handle the icy roads and curvy turns, he was punctual right at six in the morning, and just felt like a friend we were adventuring with for the day. NOT like some of those tour guides you feel are lecturing you and it’s total boredom, lol. If you have small children, a private tour like ours is highly needed. Our little girl got some car sickness at one point and it wasn’t pretty. Andrea was more than patient and understanding since he himself has a little one. The bison, elk and the eagles were all around. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Also, a special thanks to the owner, Derek, for returning our call on New Year’s Eve and talking to me for 30 minutes about what we could expect. We ultimately went with his company because you could tell the customer service was solid. We would’ve not changed anything about our day!
