It was a 4 hour tour but it was definitely worth it. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and he covered every possible aspect of the occurrences of 9/11. It was a long talk and I think some seating should have been available for the less mobile people. However, we proceeded on to the Museum which was outstanding. We spent about 2 and a half hours there but only saw a fraction of it. Congratulations to the organisers who have done a wonderful job with the museum. We had a memorable day, and the sun really shone upon us, with a clear blue clarity and the blessed warmth of 26 degrees!

We had Marc, a knowledgeable New Yorker from Brooklyn. We met up with him at the steps to Saint Paul’s Chapel… we went to different sights where he explained to us what happened in the area… I would recommend people do this tour prior to entering the memorial. It helps to understand what happened on that terrible day.

Jim was an awesome guide. Lifelong New Yorker with lots of insight. Took time to make sure you had a good experience.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable with history - very thorough in bringing the historical and current building histories together.

The 9/11 Museum itself is built atop the footprint of the South Tower. It wends its way through the day of 9/11/01, starting w/ views of the Twin Towers and progressing through the day. There are numerous mementos, including personal effects from the planes and towers; a police cruiser; and two fire trucks. Besides the pictures, the moment-by-moment voice/visual experience of the plane crash in Pennsylvania was very emotional for me, as well, as the structure signed by rescue personnel and the stairwell used by many of those who escaped from the tower. I had to skip the room filled w/ pictures of the victims. My daughter noticed that no where in the museum was it pointed out that folks jumped to their deaths from the towers. IDK how this is too much to handle when other horrific items were displayed, such a crushed helmet worn by a firefighter.... I also was amazed at how SMALL the footprint of the towers was, compared to the enormous height of the buildings. It's not a fun museum to visit, but an important one. #nohate

Our guide Jim was so great! This was more than just a 9/11 memorial tour, it was an NYC history lesson and we enjoyed it immensely. Great experience, emotional and humbling. Jim knew his stuff!

My four teens and I really enjoyed Jim’s storytelling and style. It was a very special educational experience for American teens who were born after that fateful day.

We had an amazing tour with our guide Jim. Our introduction was a little unexpected when we told him were were from the UK and he said he didn't know where that was or what the UK, London, England was. He then asked another family (who were from Dallas) if they heard of these and then said "wait" "oh I remember, you ruled us!!!!" Then the laughter starter - you got us their Jim. The whole tour was historically informative and we learned so much about the early beginnings of New York, the first settlers, the rise of the state & the big shots of NY over the centuries. The 9/11 tour was very poignant, Jim took us right back to the day we watched in horror on TV and what unfolded thereon. I'm not going to describe what we covered on our visit because I encourage you take and experience the it yourself. This really is a 'must do' if visiting NY, worth every penny. We didn't opt for the 9/11 meseum but did visit it later that day and agin, do not miss this! artefacts of the attack were on displayed and really took us back to 9/11. Jim was experienced, knowledgeable, funny and paced the tour very well. He answered questions and also gave his own experience of that harrowing day which really gave it a personal perspective from a NY resident.
