Suitable for all physical fitness levels
The electric bikes will take all of the hard work out of your ride. We routinely have riders that span the spectrum of age and fitness. The main requirement is that you be coordinated and fit enough to balance a 55-pound bike. A training and practice session is provided at the start of each tour. For people that would like to go on the tour but are not able to balance a bike, it is possible to arrange a ride on the back of one of our stretch cargo bikes that will be driven by another person in your party.
Legally, you must be 16 years or older to operate an electric bike. Guides reserve the right to request proof of age of any rider. Riders should also be at least 5 feet tall to operate their own bike. Guests younger than 16 may ride as a passenger with an adult in their group on the back of one of our cargo bikes or in a child seat (for children ages 1-6 or up to 48.5 pounds).
Tours are subject to favorable weather conditions. If there is light rain in the forecast but none at the start of the tour, we will decide together at the time of the tour whether to ride. We will provide rain ponchos and rain covers for the storage bags on the bikes to protect your belongings. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.

What a great tour! From the initial arrival at the bike shop our experience was great. The staff were so friendly and the shop very cozy. Peter was a fantastic guide - friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. We got to see and learn about so many interesting parts of Asheville. The entire group was so friendly and bike-competent which also made the tour more enjoyable. Highly recommend if you visit Asheville!

Peter was an amazing tour guide. He was humorous, knowledgeable and customized our tour based on the fact that all of us had experience with e-bikes. Asheville is beautiful and we saw several of their best neigborhoods. I would highly recommend this tour.

Our guides, Peter and Jeff, were outstanding. They gave clear and detailed directions on how to use the electric bikes and we’re open to answer any questions. They were respectful of the different levels of experience that they encountered within our group. Peter had a wonderful sense of humor and set the tone for the entire tour. Both guides were knowledgeable and extremely informative about the buildings and different neighborhoods we saw on our journey. The pace of the ride was great! We covered a lot of ground without feeling rushed. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Riding all over Asheville thru great bike trails and thru parts of the city. You get to see rivers creeks neighborhoods city and a great view of the mountains at oak grove inn. Having this guided tour on e-bikes is the way to go

This is a must-do experience in Asheville! My husband and I signed up for the views and for the chance to try an electric bike. What we got was a hilarious and knowledgeable tour guide (Peter!) who was able to quickly create a bonded group from strangers. The tour takes in beautiful mountain views by bike and by foot, as he stops off at The Grove Park Inn, as well as at a local brewery (bathroom breaks, if needed!). Peter is so kind (duh, he's Canadian) and is more than willing to share his extensive knowledge and recommendations about the area. He saved us 30 minutes in line for tacos with his Asheville hack and told us about where to hear some amazing dueling pianos that evening. We'll be back. But, suffice it to say, the world need more Peters, and you should book this tour.
