The spirits of the great author (Look Homeward, Angel), and his brother, roam the halls of this storied mansion. Thomas Wolfe even wrote about spirits before he died at age 37. Wait till you hear the full story!

Christian was our tour guide and he was awesome! We were lucky that we had a small group so we could hear well and we spent a lot of time at each place. He is a wellspring of information regarding Asheville paranormal and the history of many places. Would highly recommend this tour and Christian!

I thought for sure it would be cancelled because there was a torrential downpour 10 minutes prior but the guides still showed up! Tour went at a nice pace and we verified every story afterward! Our guide was really good and fun. I wish we would have done this our first night in town so we could have went to the bridge and bought some Pink Lady swag before we left. I was bummed more people didn't tip the tour guide - please do if you go! It was a big group and we were guided safely around downtown.

I love ghost tours and my husband kind of rolls his eyes when I book them. However, we both enjoyed this one. The guide tells the popular Asheville ghost stories, but also tells what has been investigated to see which aspects of the stories could be real and what’s more likely just a legend. Even if you don’t believe in ghosts, you get an interesting history of Asheville. Communication after booking is good and clear about where to meet, when, etc. The groups can get pretty big- we went on a weeknight in October so there were only maybe 20 people. You shouldn’t have trouble hearing the guide or seeing any of the sights even if your group is big.
