It was truly awesome to hear the history and see it first hand. Well preserved and protected so it will never become a shopping mall or hotel resort area. You have to experience it yourself. You won’t be disappointed

A lot to do for a good price. They showed lots of history. They have worked hard to preserve the building and they look great. I really enjoyed the Gullah show.

Beautiful plantation. Interesting that owner still uses 2nd floor for personal use. Enjoyed the agricultural tour seeing how the land is still used for farming and seasonal recreation. And the trees, huge!

This was a great history tour and what I enjoyed is this plantation is still in operation. The different tour opportunities and the tour guides were exceptional. This tour is one you don’t want to miss.

This beautiful working plantation has an interesting and colorful history. It is definitely worth the drive from Charleston. From the tour of the house & gardens to the ride around around the farm area to the slave quarters that are set up as history lesson in the life and culture of their lives. The highlight was the lecture on Gullah culture by a 5th generation Gullah.

Our family really enjoyed the visit to Boone Hall plantation. We toured the horse stables and all eight of the slave quarters buildings which gave information on their lives. Then we toured the first floor of the Boone Hall mansion. Then we rode on the farm and grounds tour wagon to see all of the plantation including the crops they grow now to keep the plantation operation. It was amazing! We loved it!

The best part are the docents who told the stories of the families who originally built the home and those who expanded it along the way. The Gullah story teller was very engaging and energetic

A wonderful place to visit and learn about history and brick manufacturing. The garden is well kept and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Look for a Magnolia tree with flowers and smell the wonderful scent of it's flowers.
