Bushwick Collective Street Art
(Pass by)
Fans of street art (graphic arts who express themselves in the street), rejoice, Bushwick has become the field of choice for the best graffiti artists in the world, it is a real open-air museum! And this is even more true since the site of 5 Pointz (former outdoor art space located at Hunters Point) was razed.
And if you do not know street art well or have a bad image of it, you are given the opportunity to better understand this mode of expression born in the 1970s (in New York precisely!), An art that has never ceased '' evolve to the point of being considered today as equal with the work of the most recognized plastic artists. Besides, the name of Banksy, one of the most emblematic graffiti artists, may not be foreign to you ...
Williamsburg

Exciting visit! Marie knows this neighborhood very well and explained to us the different transformations over time. She guided us through the streets to admire the works on the walls...

It was a super interesting cultural immersion!
Fred did everything possible to pass on his knowledge, his anecdotes and his passion to us during this visit.
The weather (grey and cold) didn't help and we lacked suitable outfits.
On the other hand, I would not recommend this activity to young children (under 12 years old). Ours, aged 10 and 12, quickly picked up on the topics discussed.

We had a great time guided by Aymeric. He shared with us his life in New York, the habits and customs of its inhabitants and introduced us to the most beautiful works of Bushwick. We then went to discover the Williamsburg district.
It was very interesting and very informative both for me and for my 21 year old son. I recommend 👌.
And not to spoil anything, Aymeric is also a very good photographer...and from Bordeaux 😉
