The crime and the growth of the city go hand-in-hand. It was an interesting way to see the city and learn about its less than perfect roots.

My wife and I booked this tour with high expectations, and it didn't let us down. We've previously been to the Mob museum in Vegas, toured Capone's home in Alcatraz, and visited Dillinger's grave in Indianapolis. This tour enhanced our other experiences. Mattie was great, interjecting the stories, movie clips, and visuals seamlessly. We liked getting off the bus on select opportunities, especially Dillinger's shootout alley, and Nitti's vault. We loved the speakeasy stories and completely forgot that Chicago was also the Tylenol scare city. To enhance your gangster fill, we recommend a visit to Union station to climb the stairs where the Untouchables was filmed; reenact Kevin Costner and Andy Garcia capturing the bookkeeper!

Katie was a great tour guide and was very engaging and fun! We didn’t get to see as many historic buildings though as I had hoped and we had a replacement bus so didn’t get to take much shots like I’d seen advertised which was disappointing. But overall still a fun experience and it was cool to hear the crime history of early Chicago!
