I made reservations in April for our tour. I am very thorough with looking up all of the information prior. One of their details is making sure you are not over a certain weight in the kayak. I knew we would be so I emailed the company and Connor wrote a very thorough email answering other tour questions I had as well as saying: "As for the two kayaks, that is totally fine. We just ask that you leave a note when you book requesting two separate kayaks" We are from NY and so I made sure all "T"s were crossed and "I"s dotted. I made the reservation with the insurance as well just in case. We get down here, paid for parking, and a tour guide- unfortunately his name escapes me- reports that they did not have enough kayaks for us and if they did, we would have to pay another $170 for another kayak which they didn't have anyway. This was never disclosed prior to our arrival. Both he and the manager said they knew nothing of my request. Doesn't anyone read anything? The tour guide took absolutely no responibility for their mistake. This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. The manager, Brittany, asked if we wanted to reschedule our trip ( from NY, so that wasn't gonna happen) or get a refund (which we took). She stated that she didn't know why Connor would have written that. In all honesty, the email we received was not from someone new. It was obviously from someone that had knowledge and experience. In addition, doesn't anyone read the caption on the booking site after I filled it out? Even if he made the mistake, multiple people missed that comment section. Luckily we went to another place nearby- Go Local- who were super accommodating and we swam right next to the manatees and had an amazing time. So it worked out for the better anyway. In conclusion, be weary of this company when making reservations!

Izzy did an excellent jog telling us about the river and manatees. We were never rushed and she made sure we were comfortable the whole trip.

The water is so clear and beautiful! Even though it isn’t peak season for manatees, we still were able to see a few of them. Our tour guide Ryan C did a great job of guiding us to where the manatees could be found. We all had a wonderful time and would definitely do this tour again!

RYAN C ! Was an amazing tour guide, funny and knew a lot of knowledge of the area which was really fun to learn something new. Even though it was not the manatees season we were able to still see a mating heard, couple babies and their mamas. Our group was fun and lovely, not busy at all and our kayaks were so clean !!!! You could really see all the way down to the bottom. Ryan C also took great photos and videos for us once we got into the spring which was so beautiful. Highly recommend this one for the books.

It was very easy to book a kayak trip the day before. Clear instructions and immediate confirmation. You get to fill out liability waiver forms right away. On the day of trip Izzy greeted and gave us the wrist band. Reminded us of parking and gave a loaner drybag for our phones and keys. She was explaining about manatee and nature in that area. She is passionate about her work and has great people skill. We saw manatees and started rowing towards the springs. On our way she explained about boat traffics, dos and don’ts in those springs. She was very respectful to the patrons and at the same time respectful towards environment. She has knowledge about the flora and fauna of that area. At the end she gave us a souvenir sticker to take home. I highly recommend Get Up and Go kayaking company to all who are planning a trip to Crystal river Florida. Enjoy your trip. Plan and leave only foot prints behind.

Izzy was a great guide—we got lucky and were able to hang out with the manatees in addition to visiting the transparent springs. The morning was beautiful with not alot of people. I feel like we really lucked out! Will definitely return next winter to see the manatees in larger numbers.
