Never had such a bad experience working with a retailer. We contacted them stating we were on a cruise ship running late. Then we found out that the bike retailer we were dealing with was a mobile unit. They did pick us up and brought us to the visitor's center where we left on bikes. We were supposed to return there by 4 PM, but we ended up in town at the same location where they picked us up. We called the retailer, and he went off on us about how ungrateful we were, even using the f-word. Never, ever have I been treated like that. Even felt threatened by the owner of the. Island bike tours.

My husband and I rented e-bikes and because of scheduling we went to 2 different companies. My bike was from Island Time adventures. The experience between the 2 bikes was night and day. My bike was very uncomfortable, and there was very little power, I had to do much more pedaling than my husbands bike. When I made the reservation I assumed that the e-bike would help with climbing hills in the park but that was not the case. My husbands bike was much more comfortable and also more power. Next time I rent an e-bike in Bar Harbor Me I will make a different choice.

A great experience! Our family of 5 (all adults) greatly enjoyed this outing. It was our first time on e-bikes and we had a blast! The rental company did a great job suggesting our route and providing instructions on how to use the bikes. We started at 9:30 and ended around 2pm - saw all the bridges, Jordan House for a quick snack and water break. So many beautiful stops along the way to enjoy the park. I would do this again tomorrow if I had the chance.

We decided to rent these e-bikes for the self guided tour rather than having to keep up with a guided tour. We did the full day tour 6 hours . We met at the Acadia park visitor center and got a quick lesson on how to ride and a suggested route to follow with a map . Keep in mind both my wife and I have never been on an E Bike before and quickly learned . They let us test drive it around the lot, ask questions , and make seat adjustments. My wife was a little cautious at 1st and had trouble keeping up with me but soon after she was right there with me. The bikes give the boost needed to get up the hills while still allowing pedaling and getting in some exercise. All the sites were beautiful ,We stopped at Jordan house for a quick grab and go sandwich and drink . You can fill your water bottles up also. There is a phone holder on the bike and a bag that holds plenty of items we had bottles of water , and snacks with an ice pack and plenty more room. We also had a beautiful Sunny day which was a plus. We traveled about 23 Miles giving us the opportunity to see a lot more than we could if hiking or driving . We would rent again from Islandtime again staff and equipment was top notch. Thank you Island Time

Great staff, they went over bike operations, safety, map & trails. Bikes were in great shape and they provide helmets and lock. Riding the carriage roads is awesome, and great way to enjoy the park! They meet you at Hulls cove, so convenient, would def do again!

I am so glad I dropped in to the South Harbor location and chatted with Rebecca. She was so incredibly helpful in helping us pick the tour that was right for us. We’ve never ridden e-bikes before, and she went the extra step in letting us try the bikes and making sure we were comfortable before we made our reservation. Meeting Island Time at the Acadia Park visitors’ center was so convenient and it was such a great way to cover a lot of the park in a limited amount of time. As an avid traditional bike rider, I was so pleased with how much the e-bike let me cover. Conversely, my husband is not very comfortable on bikes but he had a really nice time on the e-bike and we were able to keep similar paces. I will be telling everyone that this is a must-do on their trip.

Excellent bikes! Hosts were on time and very helpful! Highly recommended. Trip starts right at the carriage trail head. Very convenient.

We had a blast riding bikes through Acadia. The weather was perfect and the bikes were extremely easy to use. My daughter and I stopped in a couple places along the way to take in the views. I would highly recommend this activity!

We were able to experience all of Acadia in a single day via cycle. Just a truly beautiful day. Marty was a great pleasure and did an excellent job at ebike introduction and operations.

This was a very interesting experience. I gave the rating because I recommend the e-bike ride around the park but maybe find another vendor. Here is why. An important note, we came into Bar Harbor on a cruise 10/20/23, apparently late in the season so transportation was very limited. We (6 of us) were picked up about 1 mile from where we tendered in and transported to the e-bike location after a lot of "conversation". In other-words, it wasn't easy or simple. Bikes themselves were in good condition. Location, perfect. Proprietor, very glad this was the last day of the season and said so to us. He had had it and made no bones about it to us directly! He made no commitment or suggestion of how to get us back to our pick up location just committed to "trying" to do so. That made it a bit tense & uncertain. Anyway, we did enjoy the e-biking. Very few people around to distract from the experience and Acadia National National Park is very beautiful. Be aware, you will need to get your own transportation to and from Hull's Cove Visitor center. There maybe other vendors that make it simpler than this one.
