Wow, this is the BEST tour! Our group loved it. Giselle is a fabulous host, she obviously loves history and knows her stuff. Air Boat ride was awesome 👏🏻 fun, alligators galore !! thanks Zach 👍🏻 The two Plantations are so interesting & focus in different areas. Super informative. And you just have to mention lunch. Yum yum happy tums… Note to self- have cash for multiple guide tips during the day

This tour was well worth it. There are so many things to see and do in New Orleans, but this was well worth the day out of the city. The airboat ride was lots of fun (I honestly could have spent the whole day doing that). Laura Plantation and guide were excellent, very informative and personable. Lunch at Houmas House was delicious. The only down side to the day was our tour at the last plantation. It was crowded and felt rushed. Focused on the owners of the house and changes to house over the years but no mention of the obvious slaves that had kept it running. And the only reason I gave this four instead of five star rating. Rene, our tour guide/driver extraordinaire for the day was fun and very informative, even sharing his family gumbo recipe!

My 18 year old daughter and I had an amazing time. Giselle picked us up promptly at the time indicated in front of our hotel. We were the last to join the group so by the time they got to our hotel, we went straight to the airboat tour. Giselle talk to us in route to our first stop about the history of New Orleans and did a wonderful job. She also told us places to visit if we had time later on in our trip as we drove by certain places like the World War II museum, which I had no idea there was one here in NOLA. The airboat ride was better than the one I had just recently done in Florida and I really like that. It was first thing in the morning because that’s when the alligators are out the most and we saw at least seven alligators. Giselle continued to provide us with additional history of this area enroute to the first and second plantations. Both of the plantations were beautiful and the tour guide for both of those locations did a wonderful job. The gardens at the second plantation were very impressive and lovely to walk-through. The gumbo at the restaurant was the best in Nola and this was in comparison to three other places we had eaten gumbo app so when I say it’s the best, it literally was the best! The buffet lunch was nice cuz we got to try everything. After the last plantation, Giselle drive us back and had more stories to share with us. All the information was very insightful. She used a headset to talk to us which was wired to the speakers for us to hear her perfectly in the back of the 15 passenger van. This tour was by far our favorite tour while we were here. It’s worth every penny and Isabelle and Giselle are such sweet ladies that they make the entire experience that much better, from booking the tour, having to reschedule it for six months down the road and then the actual tours, driving to and from, and during the tours.

Isabelle’s organization and communications were excellent and only topped by guide Giselle’s passion for local history and her amazing personality. The two plantations toured gave us very different experiences, both great but without any overlap. The swamp was good fun and a nice way to get the day started.

Laura_D

Gisele was both delightful and informative! The tours were great, but having her guidance and well researched historical perspectives put the experience in a whole other category!

Gisele is a very nice guide, who’s both helpful and knowledgeable. We saw gators in the interesting airboat trip, knew the history in Laura and enjoyed a delicious lunch in Houma.
