Tour Charleston

(Pass by)

During our 90 minute walking ghost tour, our City of Charleston licensed tour guides recount hauntings and supernatural events from our best-selling book The Ghosts of Charleston. We are fortunate to have many repeat guests, and lots of tales to share, so we switch things up nightly by varying ghosts stories on every tour. There is no experience like walking enchanted Charleston at night, listening to our supernatural stories, and encountering what you will see and hear in the Unitarian Church Graveyard.

Unitarian Church in Charleston

The highlight of Tour Charleston's Ghosts of Charleston Tour is entering the lush, spellbinding Unitarian Church Graveyard built in 1772. Real time hauntings occur only a handful of times a year. However, since 1996, when we started what is now Charleston's oldest ghost tour, spirits in the Unitarian Church Graveyard have reached out to many people on our tour in visual, tactile and auditory ways.

Such a unique ghost tour, our tour guide Joe was the absolute best. He was a great story teller, and even acted out some of the stories! I felt like I was in theater class

Wonderful story telling. Great night out. An incredible way to see the back streets of the city you may otherwise miss.

We had a fun time walking around the city and hearing the stories, but the guide we were with was really hard to understand. Although he was very nice and knowledgeable, the mixture of his accent and the tendency to slur his words made it almost impossible to decipher what was being said, which is the whole point of a ghost tour. My husband and I still enjoyed ourselves, but I think it would have been a much better experience with a different guide.

The tour was great!! Joe was an excellent tour guide, knowledgeable and theatrical which added such a fun element. The stories were interesting and the graveyard was beautiful and very spooky, and the story from that graveyard was fascinating. 10/10, really enjoyed the tour and Joe!!!

This tour was mesmerizing. Big Joe, the tour guide, was amazing. Very entertaining with the way he told the stories behind the places you visit. Would absolutely recommend.

It could have been better. We spent most of the time in parking lots talking. No scary history. It was not what we expected

Great tour guide and very informative! The walk around the graveyard was spooky and the guide had some pretty amazing photos previous tourers had taken

My wife and I loved the stories and the guide was definitely entertaining. The graveyard was the perfect amount of spooky and was a really cool end to the trip.

Our tour guides name was Joe, seriously, the best tour guide EVER! My family travels lot and we love the dark history of the cities. Joe was probably the best tour guide I have ever experienced. His theatrics and sheer love for the stories really made the tour come to life!

Nathan_S

Great tour that gave us a great overall walking tour of the city. The ghost stories added to the appeal of this super haunted old city. The history is deep within the walls of Charleston.
