It was my first time in San Francisco and first time on an e bike. This tour was well worth it. The guide was knowledgeable and the electric assist was very handy going up some hills that would bring a tear to Lance Armstrong's eye. There was some history, but the big part of this tour was the amazing scenery at ground level that you miss in a car. Bring a jacket it's cold and windy on the bridge

My husband & I did the guided San Francisco to Sausalito over Golden Gate Bridge today & couldn’t recommend it highly enough. We opted for the e-bikes which was a good decision. Marcus was our guide & his professionalism, attention to safety, knowledge of the area, & presentation was fantastic. He was also easy to talk to & had an excellent manner with people. Thank you Marcus. Tolya acted as our ‘caboose’ & was just so helpful & considerate. I felt confident knowing he was at my back. He helped me with my bike, took some video & photos for me & was also very personable. Such a delightful young man. Thank you so much Tolya. Well done Blazing Saddles

Great place for a bike ride - our guide was Eli, who was super-friendly and super-knowledgeable about the city, history, and sights. Totally recommended!! All on bike lanes with only a few hundred metres on non-busy roads (just be careful crossing tram lines!!) One of our party wanted to detour to see a statue of Yoda, and our guide Eli checked with the rest of the party, and we all fancied it too and so took us there, just so kind and nice!!! Super easy to ride across town and over the Golden Gate Bridge. We hired e-bikes, rather than regular bikes, which meant everyone in the family was comfortable - although it’s not so bad you especially need the power, but it is nice to be more free to enjoy the tremendous views! The tour ends in Sausalito - which is a superb little town, with great art shops and lovely food. You can take the ferry back to SF, or you can ride back - which is what we did, (and was a Greta choice as we saw many different things on the way back. On the way back we went to the “lookout” for a high-up view of the bridge and the city, which was really worth the climb - this climb was very steep, and without an e-bike you’d be out of your saddle and sweating as it is about a 25% gradient which just goes on and on!!! But the view from the top is just amazing, and well worth the climb - very windy up there, though! Really enjoyed this day out! We started at 10am and the tour finishes about 12 or 1pm, (I can’t remember exactly when we finished). The bikes don’t have to be handed back till 8pm so you can do what you like on the afternoon. With the e-bike, we had plenty of charge for all day, and handed out bikes back just after 7 pm, after what had been a great day!! The bikes come with a lock and a key, and a little bag on the front to hold the lock in (and you can put your boys and bobs in there too). All in all a great day!

Phenomenal trip with Marcus - he was so knowledgeable about the city & its history & made sure all riders had a safe, FUN ride.

An amazing ride across the Golden Gate Bridge and beyond! Our tour guide was great - took us to some fun hidden surprise spots - and we loved that it included use of the bikes for the rest of the day. We biked on and saw redwoods after the tour ended. Highly recommend!

Guide was Marcus - he was fantastic. A cyclist himself and a San Francisco local. Really knowledgeable the city and the sites we were taken to. He was only too happy to help and provide additional advice on places to go at the end of the tour. We booked the guided e-bike tour across the bridge with lunch in Sausalito. The booking was for my wife and I who are not the most experienced cyclists. The e-bikes were brilliant and for anyone who is unsure of the tour and their ability to cycle it unassisted this is the way to go. Hills were not an issue with the electric assistance. The tour starts near the turn around for the Powell/Hyde Street Cable car, so you can get there via the Cable car. We were staying in Union Square so could walk down to Market Street and also catch the F-Line round the waterfront to get close and walk a couple of blocks to the shop, or from Union Square we could walk to Stockton St and get the 30 bus. So back to the tour. It was well paced and we stopped at a number of points on the way. Marcus had some great stories and info, and we had a special “secret stop” that was very very cool that he provided that is not listed in the tour itinerary. We were allowed time to get used to the bikes, gears, use of the electric assistance before getting into too much of the bike tour itself. Marcus also stopped us before heading over the bridge to give good advice on how to navigate the path. There are bikes and walkers going both ways. The tour took approximately 3 hours but it is a little longer if you want to have the lunch in Sausalito. At the finish there is the option to take the Ferry back, which we did and it provided some great views of the bridge and San Francisco CBD. The ferry ride took about 25 mins. There are 2 ferry options you can choose. One takes you back to Pier 1, the other back to pier 41, and then you cycle back to the Blazing Saddles shop. The other return option is to bike back across the bridge. This was a great ride. Very interesting with some great vantage points to get photos of the bridge. Would highly recommend. Marcus - if you are reading this, thanks for a wonderful tour. We had a fantastic day. Keep an eye out for the Pohutukawa Trees. There are several right near the Powell/Hyde Street Cable Car turnaround.

Marcus, Orla and Toni were fantastic! Full of knowledge, patience and made the trip laid back yet not dragging along. Blazing Saddles is a very organized outfit with quality bikes. Do yourself a favor and get the E-bikes… well worth the upgrade! Had time after the tour ended to utilize the bikes longer and take the ferry back to the City. Highly recommend this tour!

The group was great. We got our bikes right away. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. He catered the tour based on the groups' desires. The tour was not physically demanding but very doable. One of our party wasnt enjoying the physicality of the bike and the guide was very supportive and understanding and made extra time for her to feel comfortable along the tour.

Our guide Marc/k is a born storyteller and made the city become alive. Also our kids (19 and 20) had a great time, so he made it excititing for all of us.

We had a wonderful trip with Marcus as our guide. Well-paced ride, beautiful views, lots of great information. Picking up and dropping off the bikes was easy - the shop runs like a well-oiled machine. All the staff were friendly and helpful in getting helmets fitted, checking that bikes worked and that everyone understood the controls, etc. Experienced and newer riders all had a terrific time.
