Exceptional knowledge by tour guide Clayton. This is the 2nd tour we did with Adventure Tours. We previously went to Valley of Fire, which was an absolutely great tour, made great by Clayton. We were planning a trip to Vegas and contacted this Adventure photo to see what tour we could do with Clayton. We went on his tour to Grand Canyon West and a tour of Hoover dam. Clayton is very informative as you drive along the way. He takes you to great viewing spots. The tours with this company are great. I hope you are lucky to get Clayton as your guide!!

Trip was exactly what we expected. We had a wonderful day. Great tour guide and we learned a lot. Beautiful views and would recommend

Clayton was a great guide and we had a wonderful day! Although the company had to change our tour we originally booked due to the Park not allowing in commercial vehicles, the new tour was great and they were very accommodating in trying to make our day special.

We took the Hoover Dam and South Rim tour. It was a small comfortable van with 4 of us and the guide. It was a long day in the van (4 hours each way) but it was nicely broken up with frequent stops. Our guide, Bob was extremely informative and friendly. He made the trip very enjoyable by pointing out so many landmarks and providing background and history as we went. The Grand Canyon visit was amazing. There were 3 stops and plenty of time to walk along the rim and explore on our own. Nice gift shops. The meals provided were good and much appreciate. It was a long day (about 14 hours) but very relaxed, informative, and beautiful. That day has left some amazing memories. Thank you Bob! A truly fantastic guide!

The Grand Canyon was always something we wanted to do, and kept saying we will get to it. We decided it was time. We booked a tour and we got lucky! Our guide was Bob, and he was fantastic! He made the long trip to the Canyon fun and educational. He shared his experiences with us and really helped to bring the "big ditch" alive! This was an excellent experience and one that we will most likely repeat the next time we are in Vegas! Bob I hope you do the Zion Tour!?

Thinking about visiting the Grand Canyon? You have to use this tour. Our guide, Bob, was the best! He was knowledgeable about not only the Grand Canyon, but about the location as well. He pointed out things about the Grand Canyon, that we would never have seen if we would have taken a larger tour company, or even on our own. He made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I couldn't have been more pleased with this experience. I hope to take tour again with my family in the future.

Great day trip to the Grand Canyon South Rim from Vegas with Adventure Photo Tours. Wanted to visit the South Rim and chose to go on this trip after reading all the good reviews. They were not wrong. The trip could not have been better. The tour bus arrived promptly at 5.30 am and the lady ( I think her name was Lynn ) provided us with the breakfast bag and juice. There was to be a party of 13 on this day - December the 30th. Everyone was on time so we got a good start. She informed us that she was just taking us to the Hover Dam where we would meet Bob who would be our guide for the Canyon. Our route took us via Bolder City which was interesting to see, then drove over and stopped at the Hover Dam for a photo shoot. She told us interesting facts along the way. As Bob was stuck in traffic we had a extra little trip to see Lake Mead. The rising sun on the mountains made for a spectacular backdrop. Had a rest stop at the Hoover Dam Lodge ( a charming little place with photos of the dam being constructed ) where there was a chance for coffee/restrooms and to meet Bob. We set off for the next part of the journey to Kingman Arizona for our Route 66 stop which was at the Power House Route 66 Museum and Visitor Center. The two gift shops there provided an opportunity to pick up some Route 66 Souvenirs. Then it was a short journey to the next restroom stop just outside of Williams and then on to the canyon. Our guide Bob is quite a character and a great guy. Along with the stunning scenery, he made the long journey to the canyon a breeze. His passion for his job and the places and the geology of the area are evident in his commentary, which is interspersed with witty banter and jokes. He also takes a keen interest in his passengers, asking about where they are from etc. There was a family from Australia and a family from Mexico and two young ladies from Japan, along with ourselves from England. He says he thinks he talks too much, but he has a nice voice which is easy to listen to and you never tire of. He is always offering to take photos as well. On arrival at the canyon it was busy and there was a bit of a queue to enter the park. It was no problem, as to ensure we had a full 3 hours at the canyon, Bob would not give a departure time until we had actually arrived ! Once parked at Mather Point, there were options to walk the trail in various lengths or stay with Bob for the ride between the viewpoints. There had been snow at the canyon and the paths were quite icy and slippy, so chose to stick with Bob. The National Park Visitor Center is also here. You had the option of taking your packed lunch at any time and there was as much water as you wanted. All the viewpoints were amazing. The third - Angel Point provided different places to go inside and thaw numb photo taking hands ! Because of the shorter winter days we had the chance to see the sunset just before our time to depart. On the way back there was the inevitable time when everyone falls asleep, including me I'm afraid to say - I'd been awake since the early hours not wanting to miss the morning alarm ! One person who had to keep awake however, was Bob. Greatest respect and admiration for all tour drivers who have just as long a day as us, but have to keep alert to drive us safely back. I don't know how they do it. On the return to Vegas, Bob was pointing out good places to eat whilst dropping people off at there respective hotels. Took his advise about the buffet in the casino across from where we were staying and went on New Years Day. It was great - Bob came up trumps again ! If you are in Vegas and planning a visit to the canyon, book with Adventure Photo Tours. The West rim has the Skywalk and helicopter flights, but the South Rim is the most spectacular. A Happy New Year ( and New Decade ! ) to Bob and all the team at Adventure Photo Tours and a very big Thank You for a day to remember.. Ken. PS New to Tripadvisor and tried to add some photos - did not realize they take time to appear and may have posted a few of the same picture thinking it had not worked. Will try to amend and change them. If I am unable to do this I may have to delete and re-submit this review. Thanks again !

So called 24-hour in advance cancellation policy. The tour operator confirmed the South Rim VIP tour around 9:05am the day before the tour. Then around 12:08pm they sms me asking me to call them regarding the tour. I was then advised over the telephone that the South Rim VIP tour was cancelled and I was “upgraded” to a West Rim tour. At no stage they offered an option of refund for the cancellation no had they advised the change of the itinerary for me to consider whether to proceed with the changed tour. Hoover Dam stopover was part of the West Rim tour which I had already done in a separate Hoover Dam half day tour. All the purpose for me to book the South rim VIP tour was for me to experience the grandness of Grand Canyon by getting out of driving and a little hiking for the air to feel it. No. Instead a West Rim tour was imposed on me without any notice before expiry of the cancellation period. To make the matter worse, out of 8 people in the tour group in a 14-seat van, there was one doing a helicopter ride. So I was stuck, among the 7 remaining travelers, with wandering over 1 and half hours i think, in total in the gift shop and Hualapai Ranch for the period when the tour guide organised the helicopter ride for that person and pick up, and of the duration of that person’s ride. This resulted in very much reduced time for the most significant part of the tour, which was supposed to be for Grand Canyon. None was even offered a Skywalk option because so little time was left and there was still Hoover Dam stopover. Even though the tour guide was nice enough, the whole experience was indeed upsetting, boring and disappointing for me. It just doesn’t feel right about the whole process. Kind of doggy.

My husband and I went to the Grand Canyon tour. We’ve never gone on something like this before, and I am so happy we did! Chris Jones (though he may have been Indiana Jones) is the best tour guide. He is knowledgeable, and though he kept saying he was a “history nerd”, I’m grateful that he was because we learned so many interesting facts about the climate and different sites, straight down to the type of vegetation (or lack there of) and historical facts about different towns along the way. Chris, if you’re reading this, Mike and I (Vickie) enjoyed our time on the tour with you and if we ever come back to Las Vegas and plan a tour, we hope to get you again! Thank you for making such a long day not feel long at all with your facts and witty sense of humor. You made us feel like we were your only tour, and we appreciated that.
