This was my first time to the Grand Canyon. Our guide, Michael, was informative. He was friendly, a great communicator, and use good humor to make the experience very enjoyable.

The minibus that we were picked up on was fine, nothing fancy. After all parties were picked up, we received a sack breakfast with a hostess breakfast muffin/roll/minimuffins, string cheese and bag of peanuts. The ride to the canyon was uneventful, stopping once to use the restrooms. When we arrived at the canyon is where things took a turn. Unfortunately, instead of being able to use the minibus we drove in, the park apparently did not have any more "passes" meaning we had to wait in line and all cram into the buses that the park provides (standing room only). Once we arrived at the first lookout, we were immediately ushered inside to stand in line for lunch ("since the lines get long later"). Not sure where the picnic lunch that was advertised was, but that would have been a better option to avoid the lines (our guide had left with a couple that were going on a helicopter ride before lunch was over so those of us that were left had to leave the tip). We had wanted to go out on the skywalk, but time did not permit as we needed to stand in line waiting for the bus to take us to the second lookout point. We had a short time at the second lookout point before we again had to wait in line to be taken back to the gift shop where our bus was parked. Very little time actually getting to enjoy the scenery. The stop at the Hoover Dam was fine. We did get to make a stop at a scenic overlook for pictures, then walked over the dam. There was one more stop where those that wanted could take pictures from the tall bridge as well. We really wanted to love this trip. We paid more for the opportunity to get more time and avoid the lines but unfortunately that was not what was provided. The tour company made no apologies or tried to make it right either.

Brilliant trip, breakfast and lunch provided, helicopter tour down into the canyon itself and great tour of the Hoover dam. Unbelievable knowledge from our driver and tour guide Kirk…..the guy had 10,000 facts about vegas and the whole of Nevada. Highly recommend.

What a great experience! Art was so knowledgeable about every part of our day long tour to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. We learned so much, and the van was extremely comfortable. Everything was on time, well coordinated and, most importantly, fun! I'd highly recommend Adventure Photo Tours!

Kirk was a great travel guide. He was very courteous and informative!! Our day started out with him giving us bags with treats, juice, and water. We had an adequate amount of stops, throughout the day, for breaks. Now, about the tour. Our tour of the Grand Canyon was lots of fun and beautiful!! The helicopter ride we had was breathtaking. It was nice that Kirk asked, on the way there, if anyone was vegetarian. I am, so we ate lunch at the one of the two restaurants that had several vegetarian options. Throughout the day, he posed us at several sights, and didn't mind taking our pictures, using our own cameras as well as our own Cellphones. I am really glad Adventure Photo Tours were not crumb bums and insisted the only way to have them help you with your own pictures was to take them themselves and charge you for them. After awhile, we went through and stopped at Hoover Dam. I had no idea of the enormity of this venture before he told us of its history and the fact this was all made with manual labor, no computers, and finished well before it was slated to be completed, not to mention that it goes the length of many, many states!! Boy! Do I recommend this tour? You bet I do!!

We had such a great trip with just 2 couples picked up from our hotel in a lovely minibus. Michael was a great enthusiastic tour guide who was well read in nature and geology and canyon and Dam facts! He kept a well stocked bus with plenty of water and snacks. So accommodating to make the trip as great as possible and bespoke to our wishes. Amazing view points of the canyon, of the Hoover Dam and a little trip into the Joshua Tree reserves. Helicopter ride was brilliant and the best way to see the Grand Canyon. Plenty of rest stops and lunch venue at the Sky Walk was great - lovely food. Well worth the money and a whole day trip

We had a fun day with Art soaking up all there was to see on our day trip out of Las Vegas. Art is a very knowledgable guide and we felt in good hands all day. The helicopter trip to the bottom of the Grand Canyon was really special. I am glad we did it. Art knows the itinerary like the back of his hand, so worked hard to help us avoid too many crowds. That being the case though, it meant we had lunch at about 11am and sometimes we felt a bit rushed to beat the buses to the next stop. This truly was a day we will never forget. It was such a thrill to see so many iconic images up close and in person. We had a great day.
