Cousin Maya, the tour guide, did the tour very enjoyable, entertaining and very informative! The sights and history of the island are incredible! If you are in a rush or as a sampler for more things to do and visit later, this was an excellent option.

Schneider was an awesome tour guide. Loved being able to see so much without having to rent a car or deal with the traffic. Wasn’t an issue for us but it might help for people to know how much to expect to pay for food ahead of time.

Zack! Cousin Johnny! I didn't officially meet Kentucky, but I did see him out there during the pick-up. I actually didn't read the reviews prior to booking this tour. It was very last minute due to time, finances, and coordinating with others. There are mixed reviews (which I still need to read). I just perused them quickly before I decided to write my review. For me, it started with a confirmation and informational phone call from Zack. He instructed me where to meet, what to bring, and more. He had a pleasant and upbeat attitude, even though it was around 9:00 PM HAT. The next morning, I followed the instructions and arrived at the location in a timely manner, even having time to have breakfast with the kids before we left for the outing. The tour started on time, and we were told which bus to take. Our tour guide, our OHANA- Cousin Johnny, was not just a guide but a family member for the day. He was authentic, old school (not that he's old), so genuine, but he embraced and oozed the Aloha spirit. He was a TERRIFIC source of information not only on tour-related information but also the life lessons that he pointed out - "It's our culture. It's our way of life, man." I loved it! I love how he included all six children in the information and offered them support and praise. You could feel the culture in his story; his timing was impeccable when ordering lunch. It was hot, correct, and hot. The food was good, although I was interested in spicy garlic shrimp. However, due to my little one's request for chicken, I chose the chicken, which was good. However, I wanted something else. Cousin Johnny's love of all things, especially family, children, and women (to protect), and the love of our country and the importance of not taking it for granted. Encouraging the young ones "our future" to keep this country moving forward was excellent. Hearing a man share his thoughts on being a man and protecting children and women was so great. Hearing his love for his family and four children was great. His knowledge of Hawaii, his culture, and all of the trivia was great. It was like a family road trip! The experience was enhanced by receiving a call from Zack to ensure I made it and if everything was going well. Zack does not know it (I guess he will now). When he called, I was sleeping on the beach because I felt terrible. My sinuses were killing me; my head was hurting. I had my son and nephew, and this was their first everything (trip, first plane ride, first seven days away, and being at a REAL BEACH). I couldn't disappoint. When Zack called to check on me and see how the trip was going, it helped me get my second wind. That put the icing on the cake. Cousin Johnny intentionally tried to get everyone as close as possible to their drop-off point, which I thought was excellent. That said, I would definitely take the trip or excursion again with this company. My experience was great. Ohh, and the pineapple candy gummies were great! Cousin Jonny, The Jays and I so appreciate you. Thank you! Until we meet again, Aloha!

After reading some mixed reviews here on TA, I was a bit skeptical but a friend who was here a few months ago recommended it. What a fun day we had seeing the most beautiful beaches, checking out turtles, eating some nice food and learning cool & interesting things about Hawaii. Johnny was all that you wanted a guide to be, he kept the day moving along and made it fun for a long but relaxing day. Yes, the beginning at the gathering point is a bit chaotic and I was surprised things started late when everyone of us made sure to be there on time, of not early to the meeting point.
