We’ve been taking this cruise to Kalakaua Bay for over 15 years. While much more crowded than it used to be the bay itself is so amazing. This time we took our grandchildren and they had their first time snorkeling and swimming in open water. It was so much fun and the crew does a terrific job. That said, the vegan menu gets a big Mr Yuck sticker from us. Nothing that the kids wanted to eat and the adults were not impressed. I find it interesting that most restaurants will include a vegan options for vegans, but this cruise has no options for the non- vegans who are 97% of the world population. If you take kids bring your own food. We all left hungry. Would have definitely earned the fifth star.

The staff was very attentive. Very environmentally conscious, serving only vegan food and using only recyclable supplies which was a great learning experience for kids. The snorkeling it was very good and very easy. Snuba is offered for an extra fee

Our trip out on Hula Kai with Isaac and his team was fabulous. They were great at giving a safety briefing at each location. They were super kind and accommodating. They even gave one person in our party a viewing box to snorkel since the mask make them feel claustrophobic. It was so great for her to be a part of what we saw snorkeling!

We loved our May 2024 morning snorkel on Fair Winds. We had seven people between the ages of 12 and 70 and all had a great time. The crew was efficient, friendly, and hard working. The plant-based meals were delicious. Part of my group didn’t even realize their BBQ sliders weren’t meat! We saw spinner dolphins in the bay and a pod of long nosed dolphins used our wake on the way back to the harbor. We had a mix of swimmers and not so great swimmers and the crew made it so we could ALL enjoy snorkeling. For the not so great swimmers they offered multiple types of flotation and viewing boxes so we could still enjoy snorkeling without actually snorkeling. The comfortable swimmers loved snorkeling and had a blast going down the slides and jumping off the high dive. I lost count at how many types of fish we saw and the coral was beautiful. There were quite a number of people on board but we never felt crowded. I also appreciated that they offered reef safe sunblock for free to all the guests. Great time! One of the highlights of our trip.

The staff on board was extemely friendly and helpful, and they offered a quick class for new or nervous snorkelers at no extra charge. The food was delicious and my husband didn't even realize it was plant-based till the next day. Kealakekua was gorgeous (so many fish) and the coral looked like it was healthy and growing. We have traveled there previously by kayaking and hiking and this is definitely the best way.

This was a great trip. The staff was knowledgable and helpful. The snorkeling was excellent and Joe led a great snuba class that was thoroughly enjoyed by the women. The food was good. We heartily recommend this trip.

Outstanding service from very helpful crew. Great boat. Fantastic snorkeling. Even the plant based lunch was good and this comes from a serious meat eater.

Hula Kai is fast and comfortable. That's where it ends. You can get to the same snorkel locations on other boats. Capt. Isaac is immature, egotistical and questionable humor skills. The crew is disengaging with the customers. One crew member only wanted to flirt with the captain. When asked if they could help with a snorkeller's fins (handing them up to them) Capt. Isaac said "we give moral support." What the heck does that mean? And then, there is the food. Most people quietly threw it away. Not appetizing at all. If you are going to press your company's belief's on clients, then maybe, get in another business. Your vegan, etc food selection is not appealing to the masses. The chips were good.

This was an amazing, unforgettable experience. The crew was super friendly, the food was amazing, I even jumped off the high dive and made new friends for life with the stripey boiz (Ok, Hawaiian Sergeant Major fish).
