Rogue River

On this trip down the Rogue River rafters will float through the beautiful Rogue Valley and past lands inhabited for millennia by native tribes. After a brief orientation at the put-in rafters have plenty of time to build the team skills in their raft as the group enjoys smaller whitewater before building into the biggest class IV rapids towards the end. About an hour in the group will arrive at Lineman rapids where each rafting team will try to surf their raft in the small waves. After some fun, “hanging ten” each boat will head towards Nugget Falls, the first class IV cascade of whitewater. This quick plunge ends with a BIG wave and lots of fun. After Nugget Falls the group will keep floating towards the longer and more complicated collection of drops at Ti’lomikh Falls. After this final class IV the takeout is just around the corner.

Our three guides Moira, Pratt, and Dietz were amazing! They were very knowledgeable about the area and the river. They were also super fun and personable. They were extremely well-prepared and quick on their feet when one of the rafts in our group dumped all its passengers! Can’t speak

Our Medford Young Adult Community Group really enjoyed our trip. Hayden and Cora (spelling?) were fantastic. Both were very knowledgeable, skilled, safe, fun, and good company to be with. We felt they were trustworthy people, and helpful. I would definitely recommend them.

We had great fun! Our guide Parker was really nice, also helpful with our nine year old son! I was a bit afraid upfront but it was totally amazing and I will certainly do it again!

We could not have had a better experience!! Cory was an excellent guide and we managed all the rapids with her skillful guidance. It was scary and exhilarating at the same time. JUST DO IT!!

We originally were booked for the full day, Hellgate trip, with milder rapids. Our friends signed up for the Thrill Seeker but we wanted to keep it mellow. However, on the way to Merlin we had car troubles and were going to miss the 8:00am meeting time. I called letting them know we weren’t going to make it and was hopeful they could get us on an afternoon trip. They were unable to get us on our original trip but was able to get us on the afternoon of the Thrill Seeker with the group of friends. Yay! Great customer service! Now the trip, I swore more than I ever had before! The two class IV rapids are intense! Even more so when you’re praying your child stays in the boat too (even if he is a teenager that is over me worrying about him!). I believe our guide was Sara? But I’m not sure. She was great and assured us we’d be ok, even if we were tossed out of the boat. Thankfully we all remained in the boat, just knocked around a bit. I only wish the afternoon trip was longer and included more rapids but alas, that’s what we get when we missed the morning portion. I would book with Orange Torpedoes again, especially given they were able to accommodate us after missing our original trip.

We had a blast on the Rogue! As a family with a laundry list of rafting experiences, we were a little worried in the beginning that the river was going to be calm the whole way. Man where we surprised! Our entire boat dump trucked at the Green Room, however Hayden had us back in the boat in no time!! We were due for a dump in the river, but Hayden was a great guide and handled the entire trip very well! Would definitely recommend to families with older teens!!

Such a great experience, awesome guide who was so reassuring for me as I was very unsure about doing this, very safe, informative. They have pants and jacket if need to borrow. You can take lots of pics and photographer is usually taking action pics from the shore. Highly recommend very good value on top of that.

Great trip with guide Kruse! Took 8yr old & 10yr old and felt very safe! Loved that there were various rapids the whole way thru. Not a lot of boring flat water. Highly recommend.

We took this rafting trip on the Rogue River with Orange Torpedo. Our guide was Spencer and he was awesome. He was very experienced and made sure every one was safe but also had a good time. I recommend this experience to others.

We had a blast and Kalen our guide was amazing. The rapids are 12+ feet drops and going down them was a lot of fun.
