I had my tour with Ryan as a casually experienced birdwatcher and photographer. Ryan knew Rocky Mountain National Park well. I think that my checklist was difficult to work with given the time of the year and the park conditions, but we were still able to tick off several birds I had never seen before, and I was able to get good looks and good pictures of many more. He took photos and videos of the animals and of me as well, which is a nice touch. Although my tour was in RMNP specifically, Ryan is also knowledgeable about the birds in other parts of the state–if you have a tour with him in one location, it seems he'll be happy to give you hints on where to find birds you're looking for in other locations. If you know what you're looking for, it's a good idea to share it ahead of time.

Wow! The Jeep tour was such an awesome, memorable experience. You want Ryan from Birding Man Adventures as your guide. Just book it already! He is incredibly knowledgeable, fun, and friendly. Ryan knows birds (duh), geology, history, conservation, and just how to hold a conversation, laugh, and have a good time. Our 8-hour private tour of Rocky Mountain National Park was spectacular. He pre-planned routes to spot a bald eagle nest, prairie dogs, bighorn sheep, and tons of birds, plus catered to our sightseeing/hiking interests and abilities (me: 41; my dad: 77).

My friend and I are avid birders and we have been traveling together to add new species to our life lists for many years. When going to a new location we often hire a local guide to help us find specific species. We had three days in Colorado in April 2024 and we booked Ryan Dibala to be our guide. We had 8 target, very difficult, high elevation birds on our list and he put us on all of them and with excellent views.(White-tailed Ptarmigan, Brown-capped and Gray-crowned Rosy-finch, Greater Sage-Grouse and Dusky Grouse, Pine Grosbeak, Pygmy Nuthatch and Greater Prairie Chicken.) Absolutely Amazing! He drove us in his well equipped jeep, very safely on the mountain roads in both fog and snow. When the weather changed and some roads were closed he quickly and confidently suggested alternative plans and we visited Wyoming. Each day he provided a delicious lunch, snacks, water and fresh coffee made in a camp pot. He even provided crampons for our boots to help us walk on the icy snow. My friend and I are both photographers and Ryan patiently waited as we took hundreds of photos. He brought his scope to help locate ducks on the Wyoming lakes. We covered a lot of miles in three days and birded at our pace. Ryan prepared 21 eBird checklists of the over 95 species we saw and a shared a trip report. His knowledge of the area, birds and animals and the environment in general along with his friendly sharing manner made this an outstanding memorable trip. I highly recommend Ryan.

Ryan gave us a fantastic birding tour of Rocky Mountain National Park. He focused the trip on birds that we specifically requested, and we got a lot of lifers! We observed interesting birds in their natural habitat at length, and got some good photo opportunities. Ryan is very knowledgeable about birds, and also shared information about the habitat the birds live in. We highly recommend him!

I stumbled upon Ryan's tours while searching for a tour that included a mix of birding, photography and nature during my trip to Denver. Ryan did not disappoint! He is very knowledgable, and was able to spot many species and I got to take many excellent photos. He customized the tour to our interests, and we even had the chance to see two great horned owl nests with chicks, humming birds, bald Eagle, Golden eagle, and Bullock Oriole ! He showed us some great spots while giving interesting details about Denver and the surrounding wildlife. We had a great time and would definitely book with him again.

BOOK THIS TOUR! We had a great time with Ryan the Birdman. This is not your normal scripted tour. There is no stop 1, stop 2, stop 3.... Since this is a private tour, Ryan can ad lib to your liking. On our tour we saw Moose, Bald Eagles Golden Eagles, Horned Owls, Elk, Wild Turkey, Prarie Dogs, and more. There is no way we would have saw the things we did without Ryan. He would be driving and then just pull off the road, pull out his binoculars and call us out to look at some incredible animal. I cannot recommend this tour enough. I want to thank Ryan for his persistence, his sense of humor, and his expertise during our birding adventure. Weather forced us to play it by ear during our tour, and we made the best of it and had some fantastic birding. The tour took us into the high country for mountain birds, and Ryan knows the places to go. The highlight was finding the white tailed ptarmigan on Loveland Pass. You can hardly beat that, but that was just the beginning, and the tour got better from there. When snow closed the passes, we looped into Wyoming and had a great time chasing longspurs and sage thrashers. You absolutely can't go wrong with Ryan. It was the best guided birding experience I have had in a long time. Thanks!!

My husband and I were in Denver for a Roller Derby tournament and decided to spend a few extra days to take advantage of the beautiful scenery in the area! Ryan was a fantastic guide from start to finish!!! He was quick to communicate, professional, personable, organized, welcoming, and just over all passionate about getting people outside and intune with nature! We booked a full day tour that acted as an introductory bird watching trip and also as a fantastic way to get us sea-level people active and acclimated to the altitude! Our first stop was on the side of the road where Ryan pulled over to set up a telescope to view a Great Horned Owl nest with two chicks in it! He also provided binoculars, showed us how to use them, and introduced us to different birdwatching apps! Ryan has such a vast knowledge of the wildlife and geological history of the area and was able to present it in a way that was incredibly engaging, informative, and entertaining! We made several stops along the way to Rocky Mountain National Park to view Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, Bighorn Sheep, and Elk. We stopped in RMNP for a great lunch that Ryan had prepared before heading to the frozen-over Bear Lake for a hike in the snow! Afterward the tour, Ryan stayed in touch to see how my derby games went, and he sent us all the information of the wildlife we encountered and photos from the day! Ryan is not only a brilliant guide, he is a funny and friendly person who made an 8 hour day fly by! We had an incredible experience with Ryan and his knowledge and patience with all my questions really made it a worthwhile unique experience and it was absolutely the highlight of our Denver trip. I would absolutely travel with Ryan and Birding Man Adventures again!

Ryan was amazing! From the moment we met him he made us feel so at home. He took us to see nesting bald headed eagles, we walked on a frozen lake amongst other things. The entire tour was informative and entertaining. My 5 and 7 year old girls had a blast with Ryan. The tour was appropriate for kids and adults. I will highly recommend !
