Your Itinerary

Yellowstone National Park

The Classic Yellowstone Tour features Yellowstone’s most popular stops and highlights including Old Faithful, The Grand Prismatic Hot Spring (by request only), rare wildlife in the Hayden Valley, Yellowstone Falls, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Yellowstone Lake, as well as several other off the beaten path waterfalls, hot springs, geysers, rivers, and wildlife encounters along the way. You will also have time to rest and take in the historic Old Faithful Inn built in 1903.

Hayden Valley

One of the best wildlife viewing places in Yellowstone National Park. Therefore, one of the best places to see wildlife in the world! We will head to this area of the park first to maximize our odds at seeing black bears, wolves, bison, and grizzlies!!

Lower Yellowstone River Falls

At 308" tall these falls are 308 feet (94 m) high, or nearly twice as high as Niagara Falls. The volume of water flowing over Lower Yellowstone Falls can vary from 680 cu ft/s (19 m3/s) in the autumn, to 8,400 cu ft/s (240 m3/s) at peak runoff in late springtime.

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is the most breathtaking sight inside Yellowstone National Park. Twenty miles long, the canyon is up to 4,000-feet wide and 1,200-feet deep in places. It's located on the eastern side of the park. From several vantage points, you can view Lower Falls plunging steeply into the canyon 308 feet, or the Upper Falls tumbling 109 feet.

Yellowstone Lake

Depending on the day we might: hike, walk, view historic architecture, or possibly have a very scenic lunch right along Yellowstone Lake (largest lake in North America above 7000'' of elevation/ 126 miles of shoreline) at one of our secret secluded lunch spots!

Yellowstone Geysers - Mud Volcano Area

Hike/ easy walking to view these incredible geothermal features that only exist inside Yellowstone!

Old Faithful

Hike/ easy walking to view these incredible geothermal features that only exist inside Yellowstone!

Upper Geyser Basin

We will access an area of the largest geyser basin in the park from an obscure entry point that few people know exist. In this area we will hike to multiple hot springs, geysers, and fumaroles that will get us into a place that's hidden in plain sight and few other tourist ever seem to find. This trail os often our clients favorite part of their tour. Over the years we have received tremendous feedback on this family friendly hike.

Morning Glory Pool

Hike/ easy walking to view these incredible geothermal features that only exist inside Yellowstone!

Grand Prismatic Spring

What Makes the Grand Prismatic so Grand? Grand Prismatic Spring, located in Midway Geyser Basin, has the distinction of being the park’s largest hot spring and third largest inn the world. It measures approximately 370 feet (112.8 m) in diameter and is over 121 feet (37 m) deep. A description of this spring by fur trapper Osborne Russell in 1839 also makes it the earliest described thermal feature in Yellowstone that is definitely identifiable

Fountain Paint Pot

Along this short walk you will see very good examples of most types of thermal features found in Yellowstone. These features include some extremely colorful hot springs,, steaming fumaroles, erupting geysers and the best mudpots in the park. The area is highly active and at least one geyser is erupting here at all times.

Firehole Lake Drive

Beautiful geysers and hot springs as well as the possibility of grazing bison!

Firehole Canyon Drive

Beautiful 40 foot waterfall at confluence of ancient rhyolite lava flows.

We had Jessica as our tour guide and Jeb as our driver. They were both so nice and knowledgeable. The first day we saw the thermo features and geysers. The second day was like a wildlife safari. I cannot recommend this enough. We have four kids from 16-7 and all of them had an amazing time too. Would do this again for sure.

I highly recommend the Best of Yellowstone private tour, especially if you want to skip the driving and focus on seeing all the wonders of Yellowstone. Our family of four had a wonderful day with our guide, Andrea. His professionalism and easy-going personality, combined with his knowledge of all points of interest and experience with wildlife, made him a great guide. We learned so much about the park and all of the features. He even took us to spots that we would have missed on our own. He also tailored the trip to what we wanted to see and made sure to include plenty of restroom stops. We made great memories on our tour.

Jessi was an amazing tour guide. She was so knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We did the hidden gems tour and it was a great tour. Having a driver and just being able to enjoy the ride was great. Our tour guide had so much knowledge to offer and she had a great itinerary for us. We were able to mark so many items off our “bucket list” in just one day! Highly recommend this tour. It was well organized and we learned and saw a ton!

Our family greatly enjoyed our 2 day tour with Jessi. She was very knowledgeable about the park and her ability to spot animals was amazing. She also managed the hundreds of questions from my kids with grace. This was definitely one of the best tours we’ve ever had.

This is a great company in many ways!!! Great communication/customer service was greatly appreciated! More so we absolutely enjoyed every second of our almost 10 hour private tour with Mitchell! Mitchell was a great guide - we couldn’t have been more pleased!! We saw SO many things / amazing waterfalls, geysers, private hot springs, beautiful breathtaking scenery all day, 2 historic hotels, Old Faithful, wonderful private picnic lunch at beautiful Lake Yellowstone, and more! Price is VERY expensive, but since we only had 1 day to see the best of Yellowstone - we splurged!

This tour was absolutely amazing! Mitchell was an extremely friendly, polite, and knowledgeable guide. He answered every question we barraged him with, and added interesting anecdotes about the geography, as well as the history, of the park. He was so enthusiastic about every single animal sighting, and geological feature throughout the entire tour. The owner, Derek, was also extremely helpful and patient with all of my questions. I would definitely recommend this tour company to anyone wanting a day full of amazing sites and experiences! What a fabulous company!!

We booked 2 tours - Best of Yellowstone & Wildlife Safari for our family of four. Scheduling was easy and communication prior to the tour were great. Both were absolutely awesome! Our guides were Derek (the owner) and Jessica. They were perfect - friendly, fun, safe drivers, on time, extremely knowledgeable, and able to engage my 2 teenagers. The Suburbans were new, spacious, clean and comfortable. They were stocked with water, a nice variety of snacks and drinks, high-end binoculars, and scopes. The lunches were tasty and filing - sandwich that you choose, big cookie, and chips. They also have a cooler you can add to. They send you pictures/videos from the scopes and telephoto lenses. As an added bonus, they are really good at taking family pictures. On Best of Yellowstone with Derek, we were able see much more than we would have on our own and went to vantage points we never would have known about. There was only one thing I didn't get to see that day only because my kids were wiped out, but Derek was going to take us. I went the next day on my own with his recommendations. Some of the animal highlights: Grizzly mom & 3 cubs (twice - one from an even better spot), a grizzly male, a bald eagle feeding her chick in a nest, tons of bison of course & elk. Other than the bison and the elk, we would never have found the others on our own. The scopes and high-end binoculars were imperative. Lunch was in a quiet, beautiful spot. One thing to point out with this company is that they are safe. Derek was made aware of a mama grizzly and her cubs near us that could have potentially been a very dangerous situation. He calmly and quickly got us out of there and back into the car in way that none of us would panic. During this time 2 different guides from another company did the opposite leading their private groups to try to find the grizzlies in an unsafe manner. Luckily nothing happened, but it could have been a horrible situation. On the Wildlife Safari (upper loop) with Jessica, it really felt like a fun safari. We were in and out of the suburban looking at animals. Animal highlights include: a wolf den, where we saw a wolf and her pups playing and another wolf doing its thing; a badger bringing back food to her den for her cubs and going back out again; a grizzly mama and her cubs playing, bighorn sheep, elk, more bison (of course), and 2 different black bears! Again, the scopes and high-end binoculars really enhanced the experience. Lunch was in a beautiful spot with no one else around, I HIGHLY recommend this company and these tours. We saw more and did more than we could have on our own. They take care of everything so you can enjoy and relax. They are so knowledgeable and explain everything really well, but still let you enjoy in peace if you want. You can stay as long as you want at the stops and they really know where all of the good bathrooms are. I think they can adapt to meet any group's needs. I do strongly suggest that you follow their recommendations on start times. We avoided the crowds and got to see more animals that way. Thank you to Derek & Jessica for an unforgettable 2 days in Yellowstone!
