Ash was a wonderful tour guide. So knowledgeable about the local foods and some history of Lyon. It was well paced and lots of fun!

We have taken food tours in many cities around the world and find that Secret Food Tours is one of the best. This particular tour was great because, in addition to good food, our guide Ash was a wealth of information about her adopted city, Lyon. We learned a number of things (including some secrets!) and had a lot of fun. There is quite a bit of walking on this tour. It is worth getting in the steps to see so much and sample a wide variety of delicious foods.

Ashe was wonderful. Very informative and knowledgeable on both the general history of Lyon and the food history of Lyon. Doing the tour helped understand the city much more when

We have participated in 8 different secret food tours in 5 different countries. The food is always good and the history of the places we have visited is interesting. Our Lyon tour with Charlotte was one of the best. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Lyon and the food we tasted.

Charlotte was an awesome tour guide. We had a great time, ate some wonderful local food and learned a lot of Lyon interesting facts and history. I highly recommend the tour!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the Tour. It was a mix of food and history of Lyon. Our Tourguide Anna was great. She was really pleasant, knowledgable and spoke perfect English. She even kept my teenage daughter relatively happy for the whole tour… which is not easy! I give 4 stars rather than 5 only because my expectation was that it would be more about food than history. But I still thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it as a very pleasant afternoon. Especially if you have a guide such as Anna! The ending on coffee and treat was also a nice way to finish. Thank you! :)

Charlotte was very knowledgeable and did a great job. She was funny and very personable. Each of the food stops were good and gave us greater understanding of why some foods are typical of the city. If you go you will have a wonderful time. Try a quenelle!

We had the best time on this tour with Charlotte and Anna. Not only did we get to taste so many delicious treats but we also had a wonderful lunch. The guides also gave us so much history about Lyon. We highly recommend this tour.

Ash was an excellent and very knowledgeable guide, with a bit of humor thrown in. Her explanations were clear, the history was interesting, and the food was great.

On our first full day in Lyon my wife and I wanted to get a bit of context on the food, wine and history of Vieux (Old) Lyon. This tour with our guide Charlotte hit just the right chords on each of those topics. We learned how Lyon became a gastronomic phenomenon while sampling food, sweets, wine and coffee at several excellent Bouchons and other local eateries. We learned how to pronounce Beaujolais wine properly (like most Americans, we were pronouncing it Boo-ja-lay rather than Bo-ja-lay). Lastly, we learned just enough about the Roman, Renaissance and Resistance history of Lyon to want to explore and learn more later in our visit. We would wholeheartedly recommend this tour. It was good value, and is a great way to begin your visit to this wonderful city.
