Imagine waiting for your shuttle to show up at 6:00 am and it doesn’t show. I contacted Viator and received phone call telling me trip was cancelled due to heat. Like it is never hot in Death Valley? Very disappointed.

The tour was cancelled. The bigger issue is that they never even notified me to give me a chance to book with another company. I called them the day before because I did not get a text confirmation with pickup time, and was told I should have gotten an email to reschedule. Um, I didn't. That is not good enough. Call people. They did not even explain why or say when they supposedly sent an email. Actually, I got a confirmation email that week and this link to review the tour after the day. People come from all over the world and many book tours to places they cannot easily get to. I tried to see if another company had availability at the last minute and it was too late. The people were friendly in the couple of times I called with questions, so that is why any stars at all, but there was no excuse to not actually call people about the cancellation. They knew they had not heard from me by the day before the tour, still no call. And they knew they had already been paid for it. They did refund it. That day was my only chance to take a tour, and I do not live in the area. I get that they can be cancelled because of limited interest, but let people know in advance so they can try to book elsewhere. I would not book with them again.

Visiting Death Valley was a long awaited experience that left us in awe of its natural beauty. The vast expanse of otherworldly landscapes, from the mesmerizing sand dunes to the colorful canyons, is truly exceptional. What made the trip even more remarkable was our guide, Matthew. His dedication to ensuring that we had the best possible experience was evident from the start. He took the time to listen to our needs and desires, tailoring the tour to suit our interests. His extensive knowledge of the area's history and geography was impressive, and the way he shared this information was truly captivating. Matthew's storytelling skills brought the place to life, making it feel vibrant. His explanations about the unique geological formations and the forces that shaped them were both educational and engaging. It was clear that he was not just a guide, but a passionate enthusiast who wanted to share his love for Death Valley with us. Thanks to Matthew's guidance, the trip became an unforgettable experience. In conclusion, Death Valley is undoubtedly a place that should be on everyone's travel list. And if you're fortunate enough to have Matthew as your guide, you're in for a truly exceptional and memorable journey.
