NOTE: the Avila Bee Museum tour is NOT in English and is NOT a private tour. Our driver took us to the Avila Bee Museum first and we arrived 30min before the tour time they booked. The museum tour guide did not speak English and said to our driver we cannot enter the museum nor the gift shop while we waited. So our driver took us to a nearby town for 10min with no knowledge about the town, and just told us we could look around real quick and come back. When we returned to the bee museum for the tour, we were joined by a large tour bus group who spoke Spanish. Everyone sat for an hour as the tour guide lectured about bees in Spanish, which we did not understand. The driver tried to interpret some sentences here and there, but since he didn't speak much English most of it was just looking at photos on the screen with captions in Spanish. We left early since we couldn't understand what they were saying nor could we enjoy the experience fully. Then when the driver took us to Avila, we were not given any explanations of the city or history, he just dropped us off, gave us tickets to walk the Avila walls, and gave us a meeting point for when he would pick us up. If I had known this tour was not all in English and was just a drop off and pick up, I would have just ordered an Uber for a lot cheaper.
