Your Itinerary

Museum Island

Your professional, local guide will meet you at your hotel and introduce you to Berlin and the tour. They will also take some time to discuss photography technique, your equipment, and what sort of photographs you would like to take. At your first stop time will be taken to marvel at the stunning structures and imperial splendor of this UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site. See the Old Museum, the Berlin City Palace, the Berlin Cathedral and more. The Lustgarten is an excellent spot to begin taking some photos.

Neue Wache

Next we pay tribute to the victims of war and tyranny at Germany's central national war memorial. Take some poignant shots of ‘The Mother Holding her Dead Son’ – a metaphor for trauma.

Bebelplatz

After a short walk down Unter den Linden you will visit the site of the Nazi Book Burning that took place on the 10th May 1933.

Gendarmenmarkt

We then move on to bathe in the architectural splendor of Berlin's most beautiful square. See the French and German Domes and the Concert House. Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful squares north of the Alps, it’s a perfect spot to have your photo taken.

Checkpoint Charlie

You will then have the chance to cross between East and West at the most famous border crossing point over the Berlin Wall, frontline of the Cold War, where spies roamed and US and Soviet tanks faced off in 1961.

Topography of Terror

Next we head to the dark heart of Nazi Germany at the former headquarters of the SS and Gestapo and come face-to-face with the Cold War's most brutal symbol: The Berlin Wall.

Fuhrerbunker

We will then stand at the site of the bunker where history's most notorious criminal committed suicide at the end of WWII.

The Holocaust Memorial - Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe

Moving on we will take plenty of time to journey through the iconic field of concrete blocks, and bear witness the atrocities of National Socialism. Your guide will discuss the ethics of photography and social media at memorial sites such as this.

Reichstag Building

Next we stand in the shadow of the German parliament building, burned down after Hitler’s rise to power, now a bold symbol of modern German democracy. Catch the German flag rippling in the breeze, in front of the building, on film.

Admission Not Included
