Guide, Kayla Provost, combined her naturalist knowledge with positive good humor throughout the day. She helped us to recognize and enjoy every aspect of this magnificent national park. Her extra efforts included having snowshoes for all of us to tryout on the mountain, providing in-depth commentary on the easy hikes we took, sharing delicious breakfast beside an alpine lake and gourmet lunch on picnic table at Paradise visitor area just below mountain summit. Best experience in our Seattle vacation!!

We had a wonderful day with Kayla and the other participants on this tour! We stopped on the way at Alder Lake, where we had some coffee and a snack and enjoyed beautiful views of Mt Rainier. Then we stopped at Longmire for a hike along the Trail of Shadows, where we were able to appreciate the beauty of the red cedars, Douglas firs, and other plants and animals (including a black-tailed deer). After a 30-minute wait in traffic to get into Mt. Rainier National Park (it was a gorgeous Saturday, after all!), we tasted some wood sorrel that Kayla showed us growing along the side of the road, and then we went on to Paradise. We couldn't believe how different the climate and scenery was from the lower elevations, and while we checked out the visitor center, Kayla set out a delicious lunch for us all. After lunch, we decided as a group to snowshoe the glacier rather than go on another hike, and it was fabulous! On the way home, we were lucky enough to see two marmots, a bald eagle, and an elk. Overall, a fantastic day!!

Amazing tour with Kayla as our Tour guide. She shared information that I had not known since I did my research about Mount Rainier. She took us places, kept us well fed, hydrated and did an absolutely amazing job as a Tour Guide, I would like to come back later when the ice melts, I feel like it would still have been better had the ice melted earlier, but I have no regrets, I think we will be better prepared with the snow shoes and hiking gear the next time we come back. The fellow tourists in the tour bus were also amazing and we had an amazing time with everyone.

We had a wonderful day on our Evergreen Escapes Mt. Ranier excursion from Seattle. The experience began with easy booking and an efficient and informative confirmation call the day before. We were even given the option of having hiking boots to rent for only a small fee if needed- they sent the boots just in case but when the person in our group didn't need them, there was no charge. We really appreciated the prompt pickup right outside of the apartment building we were staying in too! The day of adventure with our tour guide Ben was fabulous. He was a careful driver and considerate of those of us on the group who were prone to headaches and carsickness from the sometimes bumpy and windy roads. And he was a knowledgeable guide. Through his interesting stories, he shared his knowledge about the indigenous people of Washington state, the history of Mt. Ranier, the terrain, trees, and glaciers. There were white-out conditions on Ranier so we couldn't continue our snow-shoeing experience that far. That was disappointing but Ben was nimble in adding other lower-elevation hiking and sights while keeping our group together and safe. Ben provided a delicious continental breakfast in a beautiful place as well as a tasty lunch and pretty place-setting. And we were glad for the snacks/drinks galore! He helped our group gel together right away and the story- sharing continued from the group at lunch. We had the best group ever- a mix of our sisters and two couples who were strangers to us at the start but who we felt were friends at the end. We highly recommend Ben and Evergreen Escapes!

Best day of our 2 week vacation! Hosts Brent and Alex made a great day even better. Transport was comfortable and fun with lots of interesting information. So much was included in the day and the places we went will stay in my mind for ever! Beautiful doesn’t do it justice. Highly recommended and worth every penny. Thanks Julie and Steve

We had an amazing day!!! Our guide , Brent Maphis, (he was also training a new employee Alex who was also great) from Evergreen Escapes was the best!!!! He was friendly and made our group feel welcomed. He knew everyone’s name and treated us like royalty! Food/drinks/coffee/snacks were top notch! Brent was knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the history of the area. We trusted him to take us to the best places in the park! We could not have done this on our own. Truly a day we will remember for the rest of our lives!!! Could not ask for a more perfect day! Worth every penny!!! Thanks Brent!!!

I took the Mount Rainier National Park full day tour on 5/28/24. Ben was our guide, and he made it a wonderful experience! When he picked me up at my downtown hotel, I learned there would only be two guests on the tour (myself and another) - I was surprised for the low turnout during a holiday week, pleased to have extra room in the van, and very, very grateful that Evergreen Escapes did not cancel the tour. It was a chilly day with rain in the forecast, but Ben timed it perfectly by skipping ahead straight to Paradise so we could take advantage of the better morning weather and snowshoe before the rain started. I appreciated his strategic planning - we seemed to be ahead of the weather the entire day! I should mention that Ben is relatively new to the Seattle area, but you would never be able to tell if he didn’t tell you - he had tremendous knowledge of the area and everything along the route, like a seasoned expert who lived in the area his whole life. We saw so much on the tour - Alder Lake, Christine Falls, the Nisqually River, Longmire, Trail of Shadows, Soda Springs, “Iron Mike,” Twin Firs Trail, Glacier Bridge, and more! The highlight of course was snowshoeing in Paradise. I was worried about my skills and the weather, but Ben and Evergreen made sure I had nothing to fear. I was able to rent hiking boots with wool socks so I was prepared, and they offered other gear as needed. I am a very beginner hiker, but we went at a slow pace and I was able to do the incline without difficulty. There was a surprise bonus on the trail - I don’t want to ruin it for others, but it was very cool! We saw or heard a variety of wildlife throughout the day - black tailed deer, an owl, a grouse, brown creeper, a hummingbird, red-winged blackbird and more! Food was plentiful and delicious - Ben catered to our every need, and made sure to offer plenty of restroom breaks. So glad we stopped for a picture by the park entrance sign, and Ben was an excellent photographer for us at every stop. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and highly recommended!! Extra kudos to Ben for making the day great!

Booked back in England, the organisation for this trip was first rate. We were kept informed byvemail of thecdetails for the day. Picked up from our hotel on time. Our group? Just the two of us to two guides. Frombthe off they were friendly and keen to engage in conversation. They were also keen to fit the day around our needs.. They were experience and knowledgable to choose excelkent locations. So, we had a break for refreshments on the way. Then into the park and up to Paradise. It helped that the day was bright and dry. We had the chance to use the companies snow shoes and' take a walk'. Lunch? Eating in 'the field' will never be the same again. Table cloth! Napkins!, knives, forks and plates. The lunch was lovely. The views were supurb from the centre., although the summit chose to be simewhat elusive in the clouds.. We then descended by one more photo stop to Longmire. There were did a short and relatively flat walk where we were able aporciate the scale of the trees( wow!) And sed the 'hot springs'. The certaibly bubbled but were running cold And so back to Seattle. Never felt that we were veing rushed during the day yet there was obviously some kind of timetable. Always felt it was 'our day' Thabks to our guides. They were great. Thoroughly recommend the day tour.
