Stop 2 of the day and another excellent museum. Plenty to read and ideal for older children who want to learn about D-Day etc. The visiting jeeps, lorries etc we’re the icing on the cake.

This is an amazing collection that could rival the top museums across France! The tour takes you through an amazing array of historically accurate displays and dioramas that have been curated by some of the best people I have met! A must go to in Normandy!

We visited this museum in November 2021 and were given a tour by the owner, Patrick. The museum is very interesting and has some wonderful artifacts and exhibits from the 1940s. Everyone was very kind to us, especially when they learned we were Americans visiting. I would highly recommend this museum as a place to visit as part of your trip to Normandy.

We have visited just about all of the museums in this part of Normandy, and consider this to be one of the best. Really well laid out, great displays of life during the war from both sides (civilian and military) and even opportunities to sit in vehicles and be a part of your very own tableau (which we loved). Compared to some of the more expensive and more highly advertised museums, we think this one is more inclusive and comprehensive, quiet and (although tricky to get to if you miss the exitt!!) one of the few really worth the visit.

We saw this place from the road as we were making our way to Cherborg ferry port. Plenty of parking and some great outdoor vehicles including a Sherman and a Thunderbolt. The museum entry was 9 euro which seemed a bit steep but inside were some terrific exhibits and I thought well worth the money. A nice airfield themed cafe on site and all in all a great place for a few hours stopover.

Fantastic, wonderful scenes set up which look very realistic. Lovely and clean surroundings with extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Lots of information and original artefacts. Several old vehicles outside. Well worth a visit.

Lots to see and info panels to read. I did try to sit and watch some people talking about their D-Day experiences on a TV screen, but the sound was too low and had to compete with sound effects in the scenes nearby. I should have asked for the volume to be increased, but didn't. I looked round the shop, but didn't make use of the restaurant.

We went to the Normandy Victory Museum so my 12 year old son could go on the tank ride and try out the simulators. The tank was not working and several of the simulators were not working. The ones that were working were boring and geared towards younger children. The exhibits inside the museum were just OK. We would have passed this up if we knew the tanks and several of the simulators were not working.

Something different for once. A fun tour through Normandy from May 1940 to the liberation in 1944. Various displays and scenes of everyday life, such as a Norman living room and a display of everyday things. And of course the scenes of battle. With light and sound. Also very interesting for children and very nice that it is also a bit more interactive. You can hold a machine gun, wear a helmet and even sit in the jeep. There is also plenty to see outside in terms of vehicles. Moreover, the museum is built on a site of a former WWII American air base. We had the feeling that they are still expanding, so we will come again in the future.

Honestly a very nice discovery! The reconstructions are very well done. I highly recommend this museum. Big plus: the Dodge tour with Dylan as guide. He explains very well and immerses us in the atmosphere of the battle of the hedges. Thanks again for this immersion
