Could not name a favorite part of this tour. Picked up on time from accommodation by friendly driver Mathias and told what was about to happen. Great clean comfy car and after about 20km on the bitumen the fun began. First stop an aboriginal sacred site with rock carvings. Mathias set up breakfast with hot freshly brewed coffee. Then went to an old Ghan railway station and from there on to visit an art gallery in an aboriginal community. Fantastic display, watching local artists at work. Travelled the adventurous dirt road to the chamber of pillars with a walk around and climbing the main pillar. An easy walk and climb to area where early explorers left their initials carved into the stone. Great lunch set up again by Mathias with table cloth and freshly made Italian style bread rolls with plenty of fillings of ham, salami, cheese and other goodies. We then moved further on the dirt road, crossed the new Ghan railway line and arrived at rainbow valley where we had a feast of cold cuts, fruit and champagne to watch sunset after an informative walk around the area with our guide. Trip home was good and had to fight to keep the eyes open. What a great experience. Thanks Mathias and Filippo for setting up this wonderful tour.

Fabulous Chambers Pillar and Rainbow Valley tour for two on a warm sunny day in mid June 2022. We had stops at Ewaninga conservation reserve to view the ancient petroglyphs, visited the Titjikala community and old Ghan railway station at Rodinga and saw and glowing sunset over Rainbow Valley. Memorable day with Mattia was a knowledgeable and flexible guide.

Great range of scenery with opportunities to walk around the amazing rock formations and engravings and then sit and really appreciate these while eating and drinking very tasty meals. Art gallery was stunning. Very interesting guide with a wide knowledge and passion for the tour. The 4WD adventure of the drive was a bonus.

Wow what a tour we had in August 2020 to Chambers Pillar and Rainbow valley for sunset. Thank you Filippo for arranging the most amazing day, great comfortable vehicles equipped with everything, breakfast, morning tea, beautiful fresh baked rock cakes, fruit juice and a superb BBQ steak, chicken, salad and fresh bread lunch, and those bananas WOW, scenery, weather, fabulous driver in Andrew Langford, his wealth of knowledge in flora, fauna, Aboriginal culture and geology was wonderful to listen to all day. The sunset at Rainbow Valley was just wonderful with our cheese platters and a bottle of Bubbly!!!! Both Filippo and Andrew set this up for us whilst we walked around Rainbow Valley and we shared a drink and nibbles whilst watching amazing colour changes for sunset. Long day but highly recommend the Outback Elite Tours to give you just a stunning day in the outback.

Me and my partner just had an awesome tour with Filippo yesterday! We wanted to get a 360 experience so we did a VIP package to go to Chambers Pillar and Rainbow valley, with a luxury Land Cruiser: top comfort even in the most extreme off road that we did! That was fun! The tour was awesome and never boring. Filippo got a very extensive knowledge of the local history and stories about this tour the whole time. It was pretty different from the tour I have been before, definitely higher quality: with Phil you definitely get more than what you pay for. The food was also excellent :there were 3 meals all included, different choices of breakfast with authentic Moka Coffee and handmade cookies, ending up with a marvelous aperitivo on the sunset! We truly reccomand this experience! It is so relaxing and awesome. Keep doing well, Filippo!

we did the 1 day rainbow valley and chamber pillars tour. we had chris as our tour guide and he was the best tour guide that we had. the 4wd was very comfortable and chris had no problems is doing what we wanted. chris was extremely knowledgeable about central australia (not just about what we saw on the tour). we enjoyed the rock cakes (thanks filippo!) and there was plenty of food for us to eat. we were promptly picked up at 6:55am and dropped back off around 7pm and we covered what was in the tour itinerary. the best thing about the tour is the fact that the drivers know the roads so well, so that the time at the various sites is maximised and travelling time between sites is minimised. as an example - a family who arrived at chambers pillars earlier than us and departed earlier than us arrived at rainbow valley at least half an hour after us, so they missed parts of the sunset. they also ended up leaving earlier than us and we got to see more of the sunset. based on my experience, i would go again, particularly if i could get chris as my tour guide. we could have done it ourselves, but it was much better to have a guide to do it, particularly if you are time poor (which is what we were). thanks very much outback elite tours and chris for such an amazing experience.

We recently did two tours with Outback Elite – Chambers Pillar and Rainbow Valley, and Palm Valley. We couldn’t say enough about Filippo. We didn't quite know what to expect having booked Outback Elite for a tour to Chambers Pillar when another operator indicated he couldn’t do it. But what a day out. From the pre dawn start in a beautifully turned out vehicle, homemade baking with espresso, the barbecue salmon at lunch and prosecco and canapes at sunset. Filippo knows his stuff and how to really give you a special day out. And then at literally 11 hours’ notice he was able to turn on an amazing day out to Palm Valley. He paid attention to what we wanted to do, happy to take the time as we explored this amazing valley of relic red cabbage palms and strange shield shrimps. A great guide with a fantastic sense of humour and very attentive. We’d recommend any of his tours or contacting him for a private or VIP tour of this special part of the world.

This is the best tour I have done while in Alice. Suzanne was our guide and she was fantastic, she was fun, personable and knowledgeable about the sites. This tour agency does it up right!! You are not just a group on a bus but a very small group so they can cater to you. The food was amazing!! All the little touches that made it great. She actually grilled salmon for lunch!! The transportation was upscale and comfortable. This is not to be missed!!

We were lucky to have Ryan as our guide. Very comfortable 4WD. Stopped for morning tea and we had a slow puncture easily sorted by Ryan despite being in a remote area. Off road driving was great definitely need someone who knows the area and terrain. Chambers Pillar and Rainbow Valley were amazing to mention just a few sights. Ryan is a font of knowledge. Had a fabulous day only saw a few other people all day. Exceeded expectations the outback is amazing. So glad we booked with Outback Elite highly recommend.

Thank you for a memorable day out Philipo, we really appreciate your efforts and information. It was like travelling with a good friend. Prepared to be flexible, stop for us to take photos when something interesting came up, like a dingo, horses etc. Both of us in our mid 60's found the walks comfortable so not just a trip for young fit people. Sunset at rainbow valley with wine and eats was the most memorable part of the day for us. Thanks again Philipo.
